- Resident47 replies to Chun LeeYou not confuse. You try confuse reader with thing Bran not say. You try distract reader from facts. Fact are collector broke law. Not matter Bran owe or not owe. More collector break law, less chance Bran owe. That how scam. ... HO! Try read good next time.
- Chun Lee| 3 repliesI pay them money for my payday loan. I borrow money, and pay it back. I dont understand how it is a scam, i even call Ace to confirm SCC handling my account.
- Tamianth replies to Chun LeeWell goody for you! I'm sure they make good with your paycheck after all. You probably don't have a problem getting a loan with your chums in the boiler room...
BTW, they carved your name in the broom handle, now get back to work ---> - Resident47 replies to Chun LeeYes, yes, paying pure profit to a junk debt buyer for an unverified claim is always the smart thing to do in your fantasy land where hostile lawbreakers command your respect and "our harassment is not really harassment against someone who owes a debt". You Shadowcreek shills have been playing that other card of "I confirmed with the lender" for months now. Once creditors sell off nonperforming accounts, your money is no good to them. This assumes generously that Shadowcreek is not simply creating debts from hot air.
More examples of the extortionist lies of Shadowcreek Capital:

- Jim| 2 repliesI got a message from a "Chris Mason" who was representing “SCC Associates”. He left a very detailed message about a person who had committed check fraud complete with the persons full name, a reference number, and then said that “I had been served”. The problem is that I am not the person in question. I called them back to tell them they had a wrong number and they should not be leaving such a detailed message. I got the standard “Do you know this person” and “We will remove you from our calling list” response from the woman who answered the phone.
I didn’t think it was legal for a collection agency to leave such a detailed message at an unconfirmed phone number. - MJG replies to JimYou are correct - that call was a violation under the fair debt & credit act. It is illegal to give that information to a third party.
- mad as hell at scammers get a f###&@& replies to BranI got a restricted call from a Mr Mitchell saying he was going to serve me at my home and if neccessary my job..which only a police officer can do tell your lies some where else [***] these pay day places or other places may shred your information but these low lifes will sit and piece the info back together.
- law enforcement| 1 replyif you have received a call in which someone says a "process server" will be out to see you, or if they otherwise threaten you with any kind of legal action regarding a payday loan, please contact the NYS Attorney General at 716-853-8404.
- Mr. Will| 1 replyI received a call today regarding my sister in law from a Mike Regal. He stated he has a summons for her to appear in court for defrauding of a financial institution or deception of a financial institution. He was looking for a way to contact her. He stated the charges could be dropped if she called SCC and Associates at 844-291-6331. He did leave a case number. I do know she had a payday loan, but they still took the money out of her account and her account was closed and she still owes the bank. My wife gave her the info, but after reading this I'm not sure she should call.
- CelticDragon replies to Mr. WillThe fact that he called YOU instead of your sister-in-law is against the law
- Tred replies to law enforcementThanks for that informative post and their number leads to a website http://www.ag.ny.gov/buffalo-regional-office
- Not Born Yesterday| 5 repliesI received a call today from "John Sanderson" who has a "case" against me. The "Plaintiff" name is SCC. Oh really? I asked for a case number. He gave me a number, then I asked which court this complaint was filed in. Silence. Hello? He said he couldn't tell me what court. What? Really? I asked for his full name and position. He gave it to me and said he was a process server. Oh good! That means you're licensed. Please give me your license number so I can verify that you are in fact a process server or a poser pretending and threatening me with a fake lawsuit. Silence. He hung up. Don't let these bozos scam you. If they REALLY had a suit against you, (1) it wouldn't be a criminal suit and it wouldn't be THEM calling you, it would be your local DA, and (2) they would be required to "Serve" you properly according to the local rules of your jurisidiction. A phone call is not "service". I also told him I was recording the call. He stammered and said "I never gave you permission to do that!" I told him I was informing him so that he is aware anything he says from that point can and WILL be used against him in my FTC claim. Lol! These poor guys have no clue what they're doing, costing their employers $1000s of dollars in fines by the FTC. I'm building my case against THEM!
- Badge714 replies to Not Born Yesterday| 4 repliesI'm glad you did this, but please check your local State laws about recording phone calls. Each State is different. For some it's caller, some receiver, some both. Good idea to check, but carry on.
- Jan replies to JimI got a call from Chris Mason too. It was from an "unknown" number and the message was for a person who hasn't had this number for over 6 years. He wanted me to call SCC and left a case number. I called them to find out what it was about and of course they wouldn't tell me. I've told them to quit calling I can't help them. They transferred me to an other man who just yelled at me and then hung up on me. Very professional!
