Why do you continue to answer the phone or even answer it if you know who it is?

Emails are not official notification  of debt!  It is also illegal to make the threat of arrest which will not happen!

I received an email from "Mike Davis" at National Cash Advance, stating that I was approved for a loan amount of $1000., and all I had to do was send 2 "Steam Cards" for 50.00. Then I got I text from him stating that I had no insurance in my bank account, please send $120.00 more, and that would take care of it. Then, I got ANOTHER text stating that my social security # had a red flag on it, and to remove it, I needed to send another $100.00, all the while that it was legitimate, nothing. He texted me the next day and said the money was in my account,  of course it wasn't. He then said he could send it via Instagram, it would be another 100. By this time, I was completely panicked. He said my bank was no good, and on and on that the money was there, I just needed $100 to collect it. He to this day, Is texting me, asking what am I gonna do about it, and I politely told him to [***]!!!!

Forward the texts to your provider at 7726 so they can be blocked.  Everything he told you was a LIE!

Via Instagram?! Isn't Instagram a photo-sharing website? How could you get money that way?

I am still trying to figure out how she thought it was a great idea to give them $420 to get a $1,000 loan.

I'm floored to find that people are still so uninformed and gullible as to fall for these scams.  Are they living under a rock?

Yeah, that, too. And by using Steam gift cardds, no less. An online gaming site, IIRC.
