- RexIRSI asked the moderator to remove all of the off topic posts above, including the first one with the question about my postings. I would also welcome this list being closed to any further comments.
- MidNYteStorm| 3 repliesI think there are more important issues here on 800notes that we can all concentrate on.
In fact I question if the time has come to lock one of these IRS threads. - RexIRS replies to MidNYteStorm| 2 repliesPlease, it would be great if you could intervene to lock this thread after it is cleaned up!
- lindypc5 minutes ago, I sent the IRS a copy of this email: Just received a call from: 626-574-9227 telling me that 'they were from the IRS and had been trying to get in touch with me regarding money owed.'
Even if I hadn't seen the 60 Minutes piece about that minister (He had to have either been guilty or a complete and utter moron to have even remotely thought that the IRS would tell him to send them $20,000 in gift cards). Even as a senior citizen, I knew immediately that this was spam. Hope this email will save at least one person. - RexIRSJust in case anyone is interested in the original thread topic, the Senate has a hearing today on the IRS scam. Also seems first arrests have been made.
