A new low--spoofing your number (as though you're receiving a call from yourself)

- JaggwireI am now receiving spam calls (some are phishing calls) that show up on my caller ID as MY OWN NUMBER! (Like the call is originating from within my own home--memories of a scary movie or two surface when this happens.)
I cannot block my own number, so what do I do? I know one thing, I'm not answering these calls--or I do my new thing: answer it and hit "switchhook" and then dial my cell, walk around holding both. Funny. They go into infinity waiting for sound that never comes.

And yes you can block your own number. - JoeMamaMany threads on this already, but simply get a call blocker and add your own number to it. You'll never call yourself, and any calls coming in under your own number will automatically be blocked.
