Good thing you check here!   On the first page of this post, Elspeth and Tamianth posted some info that might help you with reporting the scam.  Your e-mail should have tossed this into your spam folder, but a few do slip through.  I couldn't even guess how many of these notes go out each day, from God knows how many scammers.  If you are job hunting, the number goes WAY up.

I love that part about "my second time trying to contact you".  LOL - That's rich!  Makes you think if you don't hurry, you might miss being scammed.

Okay perfect. I checked my spam folder and saw at least half a dozen more emails from Mel but only a few came to my inbox. Not surprised since I am job hunting

Right?! I thought I was messing something important but nope, just a scam.

Only a dozen?  Some e-mail systems only hold spam for x number days, so you may have missed out on all sorts of junk and not known it.  There is a link below to a post you might want to be aware of as a job hunter.  Go to page 10, and you will see a lengthy post I made about an Insurance sales scheme you may run across.  It is a more a scheme than a scam, I suppose, and that makes it a Screem?   Sounds right.  If you wanted to get started in the Insurance Industry in the worst way, that is exactly how to do that.  There are actual career paths in the insurance industry, but those companies do not contact you with e-mail.  Good Luck! Link follows.  //

Hey Alexis - That is great to hear you did not have any blow-back from dealing with those crooks.  From what I remember about the Travel Business, I thought the Corporate/business side was where the action was?  If so, would that still mean being near/in a larger city was important?  There used to be travel logistics agencies  that handled travel and planning for business groups and conventions.  That might still be true.  I had the impression that the work in that niche was pretty high pressure and very detailed.  That sometimes means the pay is good, but I can't say for sure.  That used to be a more specialized part of the travel industry, but it might be worth looking into.   Good Luck!

Here is a good follow up letter if you encounter theses worthless scammers...(this is the same scam new name -Michael Gatti Personnel Manager

    ServizioViaggi, LLC)

    Dear Scammer,

I will NOT be getting involved in your fraud check reimbursement [***] .  I will contact
authorities if you email me again.  What you have in operation takes advantage of
people and wrecks standings with banks. You should be ashamed of yourself for doing
wrong onto others.  You will be busted soon.

    [***] Off.

There's no point in replying -- they will just toss it into THEIR spam folder faster than you can say poof. They send out millions of these "lead" emails and they do it from Nigeria or some such place -- don't waste your time.
