- Dee| 1 replyThe guy just called me at work, he says his name is BOB Hadson with Dept of Law and Investigation, since I was at work I wasnt able to really talk [***] to him, so all I told him is that I did a reverse number check and he was all over the internet as a scammer. I told him that I notified the FBI and he needs to cease and desist. I just got this job a few months ago and I think they phished my info from a auto loan site I went to or when I tried unsuccessfully to apply for a payday loan. I never heard back from the companies I applied to to see if I was approved or denied. I am trying to go thru my caches to see if I can find the sites. Matt, if you want my help I am in. I use to be a paralegal and a honest debt collector so I know the law, and what I dont know I can easily find it. My email is deealf@yahoo.com
- ReeOn 2/1/11 I received a phone call from what appeared to be my place of employment because the number and name showed on my caller ID as I saved it. When I answer my cell phone I realized It wasnt no one that I worked with because the guy had an accent kinda foreign like India heritage so he begans to say something but at first because his accent was so heavy I wasnt sure what he was saying to me so I went to the next room when I heard him say something about paying a bill I owed and then something about a loan so to sum it all up he said his name was Nick McStevenson and I can reach him at 760-269-3828 He asked me if I had applied for a payday loan which I had but he proceeds to tell me that I had to pay back $450.00 that I honestly didnt get then he goes on to ask me if I was going to get a lawer and I didnt even know why he would say such a thing but then he said well if you get a lawyer its gonna cost you $5000.00 so you might as well pay the $450.00 and be done with it because your account is past due. So I asked him when was this loan suppose to be taking out then he said It was taken out and sent to me 4/2010 which I didnt inquire about a payday loan until 1/2011 last month so then the guy proceeds to tell me my Full Name, Address, Phone Number, My Mothers Maiden Name and my Brothers Name and also my SSN I comfirmed the information was me but when I said I didnt get approved for the Loan because I didnt have a bank account and I was turned down 4 times because I didnt have a bank acct his attitude changed so he proceeded to ask me if I have a debit or credit card which I told him I dont then he asked me if I wanted to go to jail and if I didnt I needed to pay the $450.00 and deposit it into some acct. I thought something was suspicious and when I called him on it asking him why is he calling from my place of Employment the guy babbled a bit and was like he wasnt calling me from my job and said that the FBI was gonna come to my Job and my home and arrest me So I told him to do what he has and Ill do what I have to do and I hung up. I called my Job to see if in fact I had gotten a call and my co-worker confirmed I did but she said when she told the guy that she can take a message he said no I will call her direct I have her number. So I called Federal Trade Commission and notified them of the situation which they said that it seems to be someone stole my INFO and was trying to get money out of me. They called my Job to confirm I worked there and piggy back the number to block or so their number couldnt be traced and so far this is what had happened. After I have read everyones comment it made me feel a bit betta to know that this is exactly what happened to me that happened to you guys. When I talked to the lady from FTC she said that most of them will call and block their number by riding off the line of a known number as in a Job Number. I actually to begin with thought it was a joke and that my co-workers were playing too much so I didnt take what was said serious until he called out my information. GOTS TO BE MORE CAREFUL.........
- sashabeware of 404 981 6103 calls with a heavy accent saying he is Officer Stan Marshall and that I didn't pay back a loan and I never got one. He said if I paid him 400..00 he wouldn't file the complaint and that if I got an attorney it would cost me 5000. He also said my local police were going to arrest me and I would be DETAINED fo r 8 months and wouldn't be able to get my job for 6 months. I told him I was calling the FBI and I did, they took a report and also connected me to the FTC who also gave me a case number. My emploer has been notified not to release any information as to this is a documented scam. He got mad and said I was wasting his time. What gets me is he has my personal information. I have placed fraud alerts on my credit and called all authorities in Georgia. These people have to be stopped.
- phaarmadudeThis guy called himself sergeant deputy in charge Brian Collier. 240-724-2285. I reverse searched the number because he was so convincing. It was a VoIP number, the carrier was Level 3 Communications.
The number was registered to Oxon Hill MD but no name was available. I told him I would cooperate but he never stopped talking long enough to get any info from me. He told me they confiscated a shipment to me for Tramadol in aug 2010. I haven't ordered tramadol for quite a while, so I knew something wasn't right.
We got cut off or he hung up, I don't know. Then he calls me back 3 hours later and I ask him if he's a real DEA agent, he says he's not from the DEA then he hesitates for a moment and says he'll send me a letter he doesn't want to talk any more. He's not afraid to give me his name (prob because it's fake) and title. He was off script on the call back that's why I think he cut it off. - dvamp| 3 repliesI also get these calls. The most recent yesterday from 831-331-4979 It's from Santa Cruz. He is saying he is a DEA agent and wants me to send money. He asked me for my address and social. I said if you called me you should have it. He got really mad and started threatening me. was going to come to my house and kill me, or arrest me, etc. The calls before I got before were for loans I supposedly didn't pay back. But didn't ever get a loan.
I was so mad I *67 the number back. I used a made up name and said you called me. They said oh yes _______ you are in trouble for buying drugs from an online pharmacy. I said oh ya? He said you need to take this serious because you are facing 8 years in prison. Is that what you want??? I said well I dont know. He was getting very angry and said that he could hang up on me and be at my house in 2 hours to beat me, rape me, then arrest me and throw me in prison. I said oh really??? I then told him that I reported him to the DEA. He said you deported me? I said ya that too. I said I also reported the name you were using to the real DEA agent you took off the internet. And, I said so someone will be knoking on your door soon, not mine. And you will be spending a lot of years in jail not me. And you better not drop your soap buddy because it's probably going to be you that gets raped and beat. He hung up on me.
I really think after I report all of these calls I get I will mess with them. I called these people back all night long. I called every couple of minutes. Screamed in the phone. Played games with them. I pretended to be another person with an accent and said I woudl give them the money. just tell me how to do it because I dont want to get into trouble. They gave me the information I wanted and I forwarded it on to the DEA. If we all get what is needed to hang these idiots then maybe they will stop. Probably not but it may help. Hopefully when they go to pick up the supposed money I supposedly sent they will be intercepted and arrested. - Xeek| 1 replyso yea... here's a good question. where did these people get their information? some company out there has a leak (mole) providing this information or a breach of security~ gee.. wonder which ones? there are so many breaches of security and not all have been disclosed..
- Jerga JergaI have a Gut feeling after some minor re-search that these are people from India possibly Mumbai! using a skype type of software that also changes caller ID to whatever they want. I gonna say they are probably harmless as long as you keep telling them to go F-themselves everytime, but they have some of your basic info and are trying to exstort money out of you! most indian people are good hardworking people i have no problem with there food or culture and honestly they come here and pay taxes and contribute like everyone else. But i encourage you in the privacy of your home to use the most profain language possible on these [***] sand F__k's when they call!
- .| 2 repliesWhy aren't Western Union and Moneygram posting warnings about this scam on their websites?
- HubiIncr replies to XeekThey git your name and numbers through INSURANCE COMPANIES. The insurance companies sells the names, numbers, addresses, type of insurance, drugs and medical equipment, home, car, pets...xsetera...and credit information to telemarketer companies all over the worlds. They git this information from them policy holder and others insurance companies. It is pure profit and no ones can trace them. The major centers of this activity is California and Chicago.

Say you took out an online payday loan need to money gram them the money within the couple hours or you will be arrested and bond will be set at 2500 to 3000 they claim to be officers of department of investigations fraud department. They say you took out paydy loan and wrote a bad check to them, they have all your info including your bank account number. If you did the loan online you did not write them a check, they will not send you any proof of your signature or a check that you wrote and signed to them why because you did not write them one. You cannot be arrested for defaulting on a loan. They will call five six seven times a day on cell phone and call your place of employment two to three times a day. Foreign people nine out if ten times but ever so often a english speaking person will call. They will not stop calling your job even when boss asks them to stop. Tell them the call is being recorded and traced and they are about to be arrested for impersonating an officer of the law tell them thank you for staying on the line with you for the perfect amount of time to look out their window the police should be pulling up any time to arrest them they will hurt your ear they hang up so fast and so loudly
- TOOTSIE ROLL replies to .| 1 replyI called MoneyGram. They say they are investigating the company. The only thing they are investigating is who they are going to scam next. They are in on it with them. MoneyGram is making a killing off these companies by collecting the fees to send the money. They don't care who gets scammed as long as they are getting their money.
