    very upset
This number has called me many times looking for a Marisol , stating it was a severe legal matter. Messages were harassing to say the least and I told three different people that I had never heard of this person, and that my cell number was not her number. Today was the final straw. Received a harassing call this morning, called back and left a message, and received call back from a Steve Fisher from the same number. When I told him I had asked numerous times to have my cell number taken off there calling list for Marisol, he immediately stating raising his voice and when I told him he was being harassing, he called me a dirty worthless bit**, and said he was going to stuff me in the back of his sedan, then he hung up. I am going to the police to file a formal complaint now.

That's most likely EXACTLY what you said "Steve."   I know your type.  Just the thing a bottom-feeding debt scammer would say to someone who wasn't falling for a scam.

Respect, huh?  Kind of hard to have any respect when you've been reported on another site threatening a party with arrest over a civil debt.  Now, maybe it wasn't precisely you, but it came from this phone number.

Threatening people with arrest over a civil debt is a violation of the federal rules of debt collection.  It is also a crime in itself in some states.  Did you know that?

Most likely Steve Fisher or one of his friends.  Again violating the federal rules of debt collection.  Stupid too, warrants are only issued by judges to duly consituted officers of the law.  Federal judges would issue them to US Marshals.  No judge issues warrants to scammy debt collectors.

This is a group  of white collar criminals who go around the country cold calling people and telling them they are going to be arrested or the police or sheriff are coming or that they are going to serve warrants  and the only way to stop the arrest is to pay money immediately.   They have been doing this for awhile and nobody seems to know exactly where they are located.  They call from a lot of  different numbers.

Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it. An abusive, screaming voice that claims you will be subjected to non-existent  or basically crazy-sounding legal proceedings does not mean the person calling you is truthful or accurate.
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
    1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
    2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
    3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else another dime until the debt is validated
If they are bothering you, report them:
    http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection
Also contact your local attorney general
If they continue to bother you, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.  If you can find an address.

Well Steve, since our little conversation today it seems that you need to be watching out for a NO KNOCK warrant yourself. Also the professionalism your employee's showed in these responses show that you and your employee's are childish and illiterate. and in your words........

    GOOD LUCK!

In other words, you do not have a way to refuse the money.

(Yep ... look up the definition of "except")
That is a word "legal" folks, including their staff really know.
