this phone number calls with an automated message looking for someone, and is connected to people trying to scam you into paying for something using duress... threatening legal action unless you pay.. this is a SCAM. the phone number is to a burn phone and does not exist. does not come back to any corperation or business.

Called no message. Called back got answering machine saying they were FMR.

Got the same call yesterday (looking for an old friend they mention by name) but from a different number than the one they left today (877-393-9483)

I just received a message from this company looking for someone else and they said it was a legal matter and they left a different number for that person to reach them.

Yup... they left  a phone message, but started talking before my message ended, but made it sound like there was some legal issue that  needed tending too...

I received this call on my landline, but had no idea what they were talking about, it inferred they were "looking for someone" and left this phone number.  I called it from my computer which has a blocked number (Hangouts) on chrome browser you can make free phone calls anywhere in U.S.    I pressed (O) and spoke with a nice woman who said they were a company with legal questions for someone they wouldn't name but said they were in New York State.   She asked me for my phone number and said she would take it off the list because the number I called from was blocked.   I told her I am not giving her my number and I was going to report this. I will try to block this number because I have been getting a lot of these 800 services which different numbers.  I don't answer them, just block them.

Just called this number again and the name of company is Forward Movement Recovery in West Seneca, NY  I gave them my old number which is disconnected and asked if the were looking for this person that I had been called about before who owes money for student loans.  She said the number has no record of anybody they are looking for.    Since I only  got this number 3 months ago in Phoenix, I think the person before was a deadbeat and have received numerous calls for money owed.     Hope this helps.  Don't  know if it is a scam or not.

They are very agresive and they call from different numbers. I have blocked two so far

Received several calls from this company over 3 days while I was out. They left messages with both my wife at home and my Daughter at her home stating that they needed to know how to get in touch with me and that this involved the law. They refused to give a name and only left a return number that was different than the one the call was from. (877)393-9483 no answer when I called.

Got a call a few days ago so I called back and spike to a lady who says I owe $781 for 2013 payday loan. Scary part was all of the info she had. Supposed to be mailing me an invoice.

I have been called twice by this outfit each time they leave the same message saying they are a location or locator service and name me. They go on to say I must contact them or they will take some form of legal action. I have informed my attorney and blocked their number.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

FYI: I called the number back from my 720 number (Colorado area code), pressed 0 to speak to an associate. The person who answered ask if I received the original call to the number I was calling from. I told them yes. They then informed me that they do not collect money in the state of Colorado and he would close out the case.

This seems scammy, but I have no idea why they would just give up because I live in Colorado.

To all who complained and gave information, thank you.  I filed a complaint with the Consumer Finance Protection Agency and gave them the information as well as another new number they called from which is 877-419-6419.  Keep going after these people!
