A few weeks back I got a call from Jon Sullivan regarding an old debt from a payday loan. I did used to get them around the  time he was mentioning so I thought maybe I forgot something. I asked him to send me the documantation and I would pay it, after I checked my credit report. HE said it would not show on my credit report because it was a contractoral issue. Why I believed him I will never know. He said he would send me the documents. I have yet to receive them so I called back. He said he would reverse the charges for me not to claim fraud. He got me to pay by saying if I did not agree to something today they would take legal action against me.

You were scammed.  Fraud charges are criminal.  Owing money is not a crime otherwise everyone in America would be in jail.  They extorted money from you which is the real crime.  Not only that, but the really bad news is that they have added your name to the easy marks list and will sell it to all their criminal buddies to call you over bogus nonexistent debt.  Read the following very carefully, especially the last paragraph.

Also known as World Wide Processing Group LLC and they are located at 5817 South Park Ave, Hamburg NY 14075 and have a PO Box 2474 Blasdell NY 14219. The owners name is Frank Ungaro and the Director of Operations is Nick Curtis.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

This is a scam

Totally a scam. Tried to scare me by telling me they would serve me at work

This guy by the name of Mark Stein keeps calling me stating that he will be coming to my house or place of employment to serve me some legal documents. Unless this person can send me something in writing proving that I owe for a debt (which is not illegal by the way) then he needs to stop calling me immediately.
