- Too EarlyWhat is with these people? Year end commissions? My phone rang at 730 this morning and had all zeros on the display. I didn't answer it but they left a message and said it was AOL offering me an exclusive special. How inconsiderate.

- Telemarketer ResolutionI got two calls today from this number...I guess New Years Day is not a holiday for telemarkers. They left a message and it was AOL trying to get me to sign on for some new VoIP exclusive special. They left 1-888-256-8001 for me to call and I looked it up - it's them alright...how sad that they resort to such low down trick to get your business...but not mine!

- BellaNYC| 1 replyI keep getting calls from 000 000-0000. Usually no one says anything if I answer. They have only once left a message, looking for someone other than me. It is my cell phone, and I do not know the person they are looking for. When I called back, and demanded that my name be removed from whatever list it was on, they assured me that it had been done. It hadn't, and I continue to get these calls. It's driving me crazy, and I wish I knew what I could do about it. I called my cell phone provider (verizon), and they said that I can't block a number, but can change my number instead. Why should I have to do that!!! There has to be a way from preventing these people from harassing others.

- 000-000-0000| 2 repliesits a untraceable phone line , i have one , nobody can trace you with that number :)
- George in TXI started getting these calls a two weeks ago but never bother to answer. The would leave a message to call them back stating they had a very important message for me. I finally called the number to so that they would take me off their calling list. Turns out, it was AOL trying to offer me some new service. What a low down marketing practice.

- Eugene 2000Call from this number began in December but I never answered it. Last night, I picked up the phone without looking and it was a collection agency for Mac Tools. I never bought Mac Tools and have no idea how they got my number but they were very rude and said that I could be charged if I didn't make payment. Since they had the wrong name, and address, I told them to go ahead and press charges since they've obviously got the wrong person.

- Jakes Garagethe call came from Mac Tools thinking I owed them money. We lost our mac seller three years ago, haven't seen one since and I don't owe them anyting. These people are clueless...It's no wonder they're going out of business.

- bobbyAOL keeps calling and leaving messages under this number asking me (in broken english) to come back to their network. Its sad that a company with the word "Ameerica" in their name won't hire Engish speaking Americans to do their dirty work.
- Caller: AOL
- Angie replies to 000-000-0000And what good is that? How many people don't answer your calls thinking your a low life telemarketer...

- Darlene| 4 repliesI received a call from this number. It was a recording to answer 10 questions. Then it tells u to push one to speak to a person, because you have won 2 free tickets for a cruise. When I did that I had a young guy come to the phone and asked me my name, address, phone number and postal code. He then replied back the city I was in, and said to listen to this recording about going to this web site www.yoursurvey.com, to see my free cruise no such site exists.
- Jesse replies to Darlene| 2 repliesWell, congratulations, you just gave them all the info they needed to verify you exist so they can sign you up for endless telemarketing calls, door to door sales, and about every type of pestering marketing media that ever existed. If I were you, I'd move...
- Lucy| 1 replyOur radio station did a talk show on fake numbers this morning so I used Google to see if this number really belongs to anyone. Its mostly used by shady businesses and folks looking to steal identies.
Rule of thumb, if you can't identify who's calling, never answer. If it's really important, they'll leave a message so you can call back.- Caller: bad people out to get you
- aaron (again)They called twice again today...AOL is really a pest to deal with. I called my phone company and they said that AOL is well known to be a problem and that I need to file a formal complaint with the FTC.

- Dennis GI've been getting calls since last month from this number. I never pick up but they call as often as 5 times a day. Sometimes as early as 7am and as late at 10PM. I agree, it could be AOL since these calls started just about the same time I dropped their service. I wonder if they'll ever give up?

- JohnnyCI heard about this number on the radio this morning. Its been calling my business all week hassing my mechanics that they owe them money. It's Mac Tools and apparently they're account records are so bad, they've got collection agencies after them for no reason. Even the local mac tool guy said they're going out of business soon and having some real accounting problems. I see this phony number is used by many business who don't want people to know who they really are. It's a very unprofessional way to do business in my opinion.
- Caller: mac tool
- JohnnyC replies to 000-000-0000Well that's a dumb thing to do. Then again, if people don't like you when they see it's you calling, I guess you have to resort to low down measures. I take it you don't have many friends?
- JerryGcallz from this number appeared five times today...I didn't pick up and they never left a message. reading all this, probaby someone tryin to steal my identity
