    Irritated
calls from this number all week...sometimes 3-4 times a day.  My son picked up and after speaking with someone, handed the phone to me.  It was AOL with some offer.  Very annoying company...I left them several months ago and they still keep calling using different numbers.

I got a call last night from this number.  It was PayDay Loans looking for someone I knew who is late on their payment.  I guess she gave my name as a reference on the application.  These people were VERY RUDE.  They were almost threatening me that if I don't get in touch with her to have her call them. The even told me about her credit history and other information that I thought was confidential!  I looked up the number they gave to call them and it was legit.

Wow, I've heard the horror stories about AOL, especially after people left them and thought it was one of those urban legends.  I moved 4months ago and change my service.  They've been calling ever since using several numbers not only because they're still trying to charge me on one side, while their other departments call to try and get me back.  It's worse than a nightmare!

Rec'd ph call from 000-000-0000 at 10:10 am, C.S.T., got to logging it now.

Folks, when you see numbers of this sort, don't even bother wasting your time. There are nothing but insidious dirt-bags concealing their true identity at the other end.

Google has virtually an endless plethora of complaint listings if you care to check:

This all zeroes number has shown up on the caller id for my boyfriend's cell.  It even called at 3:34 AM last month!  My boyfriend's ex called a couple years back, and it showed up 000-000-0000, likely from her blocking it.. So you can imagine my thoughts when I seen the number again at 3:34 AM.  He said no way he hadn't heard from her in 2 years.  But the call time on the bill said 2 minutes!  I was convinced he was cheating until he reminded me how I went to Walgreens at 3 AM last month to get diapers for the baby! I had called him to tell him about the cops pulling me over wondering what I was doing out so late. You know, sometimes Alltell screws up and any old number will show up as all zeroes; I've seen it happen on his phone.  Needless to say our relationship is still going strong!!  lol

That was completely off subject ..But anyway this number could be ANYONE.  Telemarketers, blocked calls, regular calls!!!

In the past week we have had this freakin' number show up on caller ID about every 10 minutes.  I'm on a no call list.  Is there someplace besides this to complain?

I have been pummeled by jerks and stupid people. In each instance I logged all of the calls, but finally got to posting it today, mid-morning. Did not answer, and let it dump into voice jail, hoping these persistent [***] would get the idea.

I would just love to kill these people. They know exactly what they are doing by hiding under a fake number. Anyone with any legitimacy wouldn’t hide under a rock.

It seems everyone here has the same issue.  What concerns me why isn't anything been done.?  Just to keep posting on here seems a waste of time because everyone has the same issue and nothing is being done.  We all know by now that the phone number 000-000-0000  is a bunch of bull.  What l did and is the best thing.  I programmed my caller ID with a prerecorded messaged telling them to kiss off.  I read one time in a consumer book someone put out it said do this if you want  telemarketers to stop calling.  What they suggested is the following.  (This only works if there is someone on the line). When these people start giving you their pitch say to them the following and l guarantee you they will not call back.  ASK THEM WHAT COLOR UNDERWEAR THEY ARE WEARING. It is as simple as that.  I have had a 95% hang up rate and no more return calls.  It may sound crazy but it works think about it.  It will work.

    Had Enough
I left AOL back in December and almost the same day, calls from this number started showing up.  After several calls to AOL to quite bothering me, the calls finally stopped...until today.  Three calls already, the first one at 7 AM and I finally picked up the last one....It was AOL trying to get me back to their hive.  Someone once told me that AOL was worse than a ghost in your machine.  I had to take my computer to a local repair center just to wipe all their hidden reactivation programs clean.  Now they haunt me with calls all day.

    Iowa
I got hundreds of these calls during the political campaining in Iowa.  I only answered a couple of times just to see who it was.  They claimed to want me to answer questions for an opinion poll. What they did was "push polling".  They were asking if my opinion would be changed about a candidate if I knew that this and that was quoted about this candidate and this was said about that candidate.  They were just trying to use dirty tactics to change the voters minds with lies.  They quit as soon as the caucus was over.  I also received some calls from (319)000-0000.  Political and charity calls are exempt from the do not call list.

we got a call this morning (saturday, 10am) from this number (1-000-000-0000 - out of area) and the person on the other end knew our address and my wife's name, but obviously not very well, because they thought my wife was a man and that the state we live in (MA) was maryland, not massachusetts.  i asked why they wanted to speak to my wife, they said they had a message for my neighbor, and gave a name (not sure if the person named lives there) and address.  when i asked if they were a friend of the neighbor, they said "never mind, sir" and hung up.
