    One Mystery Solved
Got another phone call from this number so I answered;  it was a girl doing a Marine Institute Survey or something.  I told her I didn't know where they got our number, but that we do not answer surveys.  Then she tried to argue with me!  I told her "I SAID no.  Please remove my phone number" and hung up on her.

Just got a call from them, don't get them every hour but frequently.....they are very annoying.  Call the better business bureau, that's  what I was told, it didn 't stop it (as I don't kn ow how they get through) bjut the calls cvome very infrequently now, but still annoying to get.....they almost sound foreign on the phone, each time is a different person - don't give them any info., They always ask for so and so, and I will always say they are not here.  What a bummer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Spammer/Spoofer/Phisher/Scam..who knows?
    000-0000

From what I have concluded, these are usually just calls from another caller who had blocked their own number or from a SPAMMER who is intentionally 'spoofing' their number with all zeros so that their call cannot be traced. Irregardless, I never answer a call from a number that I do not recognize or is not in my cellphone's contacts.

They called so often that I had to unplug my phone and/or the answering machined. They must call every 15 minutes. They use various phone numbers. this has got to stop.
has anyone been successful at getting these a...holes to stop?

the phone# is zeroes or other#. When I answer, which I stopped doing, they ask for "mike". when I reply there is no Mike, they asked if I applied for a loan.
They then proceed to call with increased frequency.

Wrong. When a number is blocked it comes up unknown, blocked, anonymous, or private. That's all.  I work for AT&T and its the only legal responses to a blocked number. We get calls about this all the time. It's a collections or researcher company. FYI. It is illegal for a collections company to block their numbers, or use a ghost dialer, which is why it shows up 000-000-0000

I'm getting calls about every hour from 000-000-0000, which is extremely annoying, as I'm traveling and the calls usually come when I'm in traffic.  I never answer, and they never leave a message.  I've taken to shutting off my phone at night, since one of the calls came in late.  I don't know much about blocking calls, but will be contacting my phone provider if these calls continue.

The government should force all ISP's from allowing these numbers through in the first place.
If the government was to step in and do more, then people might not get hassled as much.
