I received a call from 0000000000 today and a male automated voice left a msg stating he was calling from JP Morgan Chase and that my Mastercard has been deactived and to push 1 to reactivate it.  Of course the 0000000000 number was fishy and I don't have a Mastercard either.  Just yesterday I received a text from a 757 number to call a local 425 number stating my "bank account has been deactivated" but of course it didn't say what company or anything.  I decided to call the number back on my work phone and an automated woman's voice says something about reaching "accounts" and to enter in my 16 digit card number - of course super fishy.  I put in a random set of numbers then it hung up on me.  Not sure why all of a sudden I'm getting these, it's obvious they're just trying to steal your money. Sad part is, a lot of ppl will actually enter in their real card numbers and exp date  :/

I thought it may be skype, there is one person who calls me via skype and the numbers show up as odd.
~"your jpmorganchasenewyorkmanhattan bank account has been suspended to reactivate-"~
A pre-recorded message about a bank I never had an account with (in any of this megabank's incarnations). It may be skype, too bad so many scammers are using skype.

Received a call last night at 11:30 PM on my cell phone. I did not answer and they did not leave a message. Just tic's me off that these people are allowed to continue harassing folks. In fact, it may be a good idea for everyone that gets one or more of these calls to pick up and immediately ask for the name and number of the caller, then tell them that if they call again you will turn them to the police and that you will initiate a law suit against them for harassment.

Received a call at 3:30 am from 000-000-0000 saying my MasterCard had been locked and to press 1. I don't have a MasterCard with the bank so i ignored it. My husband received the same call the day before and he doesn't have a MasterCard either. This is a scam.

The caller ID 000-000-0000 has nothing to do with Blockbuster. It is the number that is sent by many phone carriers to your line when a user blocks his caller ID to make an anonymous phone call to you.  You can probably use it too.  All you need to do is call your phone company to ask what code you have to dial before the phone number you want to call anonymously.  Usually these are codes that start with an asterisk followed by two digits, or, on a rotary dial phone, the number 11ij, where "i" and "j" together are the code.  If you use a voip carrier (such as your cable company) or an independent voip company, the code (and your ability to use it) may depend upon the settings of the box you use to connect to the Internet.  If you use an independent voip company that allows you to bring your own converter box to connect your phone to the Internet (such as voip.ms or callcentric.com), you may have to set the code and configure the anomymous calling feature yourself.

Two important things to remember are that (1) blocking caller ID yourself does NOT necessarily hide your phone number, especially when you dial a toll-free number, and (2) you should be suspicious of anyone who blocks their caller ID when calling you.  A third thing that may be useful to know is that, if you don't have the capability to block specific numbers, you may still be able to block calls from 000-000-0000 by using "anonymous call rejection," instead.

I had a call from this number and let it go to VM.  The message was that my master card had been locked for security reasons and to press 1 to unlock.  No bank is going to lock your card and unlock it with a automated message......

DO NOT ENTER YOUR CARD NUMBER
YOUR BANK WILL NEVER ASK TO ENTER YOUR FULL CREDIT CARD NUMBER WHEN THEY CALL YOU. THIS IS A FAKE "PHISHING" ATTEMPT TO TRY TO STEAL YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER.

AGAIN, DO NOT ENTER YOUR 16-DIGIT CREDIT CARD NUMBER. IF YOU HAVE YOU SHOULD PROBABLY CALL YOUR BANK TO CANCEL YOUR CARD AND GET A NEW ONE.

YOUR BANK WILL ONLY ASK FOR YOUR FULL NUMBER WHEN *YOU CALL THEM, NEVER WHEN THEY CALL YOU*.

I got a call from 000-000-0000 at 1:00 a.m.!!  It was a recorded message that said my Chase credit card had been locked for security reasons.  I didn't listen to the end, so I don't know if they were going to ask me to press "1' and give them information.  I called Chase directly and confirmed that it was a bogus call.  Legitimate companies don't call at 1:00 a.m.

Help. My cell phone rang at 1:31 a.m. Pacific Standard Time February 4, 2013. I scrambled out of bed after glancing at my alarm clock on my night stand, making my way to my cell phone that was charging in an adjacent room. I was worried sick that a loved one had died due to the time of the call! The ringing had ceased by the time I reached the phone and the message tone sounded. I looked to see who was calling me so late in the evening--actually, so early in the morning--when I saw the caller wasn't a family member with a critical message, but instead a 000-000-0000 caller. I didn't even bother to listen to the message, since I knew it must be trash. Who in their right mind would place a call at 1:31 in the morning?!  I was advised by co-workers that a computer with a message. And I understand that now that the computer "knows" it's a legitimate number, that the calls will continue. Great! This is my cell phone, and I don't expect these sort of calls on my cell, no matter the time of day. Isn't there a "Do Not Call" list for cell phone numbers? If there is, I'd sure like it.

They keep calling me over and over, while I'm in school. Asking for a Nolan. I've done told them that I'm not Nolan and to take my name off the list. Yet, they keep calling. It's super annoying.
