I need these calls from this number to stop. I don't pick up, and usually I can block numbers thru Verizon..but Verizon tells me to enter a  valid number! If I can't block this number, why can't Verizon stop them???
    • Caller: do not know,,,caller ID only says 000 000 0000

Come on, have fun with these guys!  You know they are scammer low-life scum but you can still have fun with them.  Keep them on the line.  Tie up their time by pretending to not understand English.  Chinese is a really good one to use to really fluster them.  I'm retired so I have lots of time to play with these douch-bags and it gets to be a fun thing to do when you have time on your hands and need a laugh.  Soooooo, scam the scammers!

Ehh, mem !  What are you scared of ?  Take this "advice" from a retired "problem solver" with Federal law enforcement.  Unfortunately, these scam phone calls are here to stay.  The lure that draws these scumbags out of the woodwork is simple - money.  Without going into long-winded details, these scumbags are hard to catch, because the phone companies provide them with access to literally thousands of "dead" phone numbers, which they use to "spoof" caller I.D.'s,  "...file a police report..."  definetly a good idea, but don't get your hopes up.  There's nothing to be scared of - just don't answer any call from a number you don't recognize, that way you'll never become a victim.  The "system" depends on the willingness of its' victims - refuse to be one.

Yes by all means let us start a new urban myth.  The phone companies don't need to supply them with anything to spoof numbers.  All they need a a simple program that costs almost nothing.

It's time to adjust your tinfoil hat, or maybe exchange it for one made of aluminum foil !!  Give me the address of that bank "...in lome..."  I want to see if I can get them to send me some money, so I can give it to the "...scammers and hackers..."  to leave me alone.   Also, someone stole one of my socks last week, and I need to buy a new pair. Do you have trouble getting mail sent to you in your parent's basement ?   A friend of mine works with John Hinkley, and he can put you in touch with Jody Foster - I'm sure she will be impressed with you.

Geezus sufferin' Christ!  George Bernard Shaw was right when he said "There must be life on other planets - they are using earth as their insane asylum"

I just received a call from 000-000-000.  Somewhere I read to keep a list of the calls coming in from unknown callers so I have done that.  I have an Excel file that I started in Oct. of 2015.  To date I have listed 238 telemarketer/spam calls.  It's so frustrating because each time the phone rings I have to go to see who is calling.  I am inhibited by arthritis and getting to the phone can be difficult if it's not nearby.

That's right, Unknow !!  I'm a retired "problem solver" with  Federal law enforcement, and you are absolutely right.  You're SO smart - how did you EVER figure it all out !!  Tell you how you can outsmart all the "cops" - but don't tell anyone - Get a large roll of aluminum foil, and make a hat out of it (don't forget to include an antenna) - that way, you can "scramble" all of the signals they are sending to the fillings in your teeth.  (not bad, huh?)

    Geezus !!

See my message/reply to "unknown".  I think there may be room for you in his/her parent's basement - but that space is filling up quickly.

Take it from me - a retired "problem solver" with Federal law enforcement - there's no such "division".  Think about this -"criminal fraud" is redundant.  Obviously, you called someone for whom English is a second language.  The FBI, or any other law enforcement, would never hire someone so ignorant to answer their phone(s).Forget about these scammers.

How's that list "working" for you - or rather not doing ANYTHING "for you"?  And, WHY do you think you "...have to go to see who is calling..." ??  I am REALLY    inhibited by arthritis, and keep a cordless phone nearby - try that.  Also, I'm assuming you have caller I.D., and some sort of answering "machine", or device.  If you don't recognize the number calling you, just don't answer.  If it's really important, the caller can always leave a message - then YOU decide if you want to call back.  YOU own the phone(s), YOU are paying the phone bill, YOU should be the one controlling the phone, and the phone service(s) YOU are paying for !  And, yes, these calls are annoying, but then, so is my middle son.  I've learned to "live with" both of them - trust me, it's all in your reactions.

Who the heck would answer a call from 0000000000? Another one added to my blocked list.

what ever this company is, they call everyday from a different number.  today it was all zeros.  I know its the same company because I let my machine get it.  After my message has played, an automated woman's voice says - GOOD BYE.  Same automated voice I've been hearing for over a year now.  AND do not answer calls from unknown sources.  Now they have a scam where if YOU answer a sales call then YOU get charged for that call.  Some of them originate in Asia.  Easy to run up a thousand dollars on your phone bill just by saying hello and hanging up.  My brother had than happen to him.  the phone company did take off the charges but told him to let the machine answer it.  It sends a different signal to the phone company than it does if the receiver is picked up.

8/10/16 10:45 PDT  Show in caller ID as  Private caller, on Frontier Comm. as Anonymous, whatever they try to do, will not be answering if I don't recognize number and/or ID.  Can't block because blocker show "P" but sure as heck can not answer these a** holes.

Received the 000 000 0000 I was able to block it in my Panasonic telephone. I do not know if the blocking ability depends on the type of telephone or on the company that provides the service. I have Frontier landline. The blocking worked for me.

John, I feel like you're taking me to task here.  I am making an honest effort.  I do try to keep the cordless nearby and when I see a # I don't recognize then I don't answer it.  I just thought I would contribute something to this site but I didn't think what I contributed was up for evaluation.  I think all I managed to do is annoy you.
