Agreed on the panasonic cordless phone. LOVE the number blocking feature.

I come home everyday to dozens of attempts from the blocked numbers/unavailable/private/out of area calls.

 All they get is a busy signal & then it cuts the line!!  lolololol!!! Bout time a manufacturer came up with that idea!

caller said that i dialed 911 by accident. i assured him i didnt. this call was very fishy

Instead of caller id saying private number or blocked call, it says 000-000-0000.  AT&T has been in our neighborhood testing for availability for their Uverse program.  It gets annoying because the calls are 2 and 3 at a time, oh well...

I thought we had do not call on our phones to prevent these calls. Who ever is calling,calls at any time of the day or night. It makes them no difference if you have sick peolple or  work 2nd or 3rd shift.
So much for the do not call list. As is everything that is supposed to help us, winds up not being worth the paper it is written on.

TRIED TO CALL BACK - PHONE COMPANY CAN'T COMPLETE THE CALL.   DON'T KNOW WHO IS CALLING ME.   NO MESSAGE WAS LEFT ON MACHINE.  JUST AIR TIME.

I got a call today 000-000-0000 and they did ask for me and we said she was not home right now and the woman hung up on me..

The number 000-000-0000 came up on my caller ID.   my phone number is registered so that I should not be receiving calls from anyone i don't know

How possibly can collection agencies use this or any 800 number and expect you to pick up?

If they were legit they would have the name of the company on the ID and a real number not, some toll free or faked number.

Also, be wary if they say you have 'business' with them or if they ask for your SS number.

the number 1-000-000-0000 called me and said u have 7 days left in a whispery voice, im scared

received call on 06-19-2010 in the morning. Person asked for me by my name and asked if my birthday was August 17th. The person calling said they could not relinquish any information. How do I stop this.

The reason for the 00000000 calls is very simple.  When you answer, a computer records the date and time you answer and this information is sold to telemarketers and lets them know the best time to call you at home.  Dont answer the calls.

It started here yesterday.  A caller with a spoofed 000-000-0000 number calls and just hangs up.  Several times yesterday evening, and now it seems to be starting up again this evening.

the 0000000000 has called my papaws 2x and called my house 1x and i heard low voices of people should i be worried?

I have 2 incoming phone lines and been getting daily calls for the past 2 weeks from "Name Unavailable" "1-000-000-0000". They call both lines simultaneously. What I do is answer each line and conference them on to each other. The callers asks for me by name. Today, for the first time, the caller on Line1 thought Line2 was me so he went in to his spiel. It was Heartcheck America trying to schedule a heart screening. Line2 caller, from the same place, just started laughing and couldn't stop ... and they both hung up. Priceless!

HAD RECEIVED SEVERAL CALLS AND NEVER ANSWERED - THEN RECEIVED 2 WITHIN 10 MIN. SO I ANSWERED. THEY SAID IT WAS A NATIONWIDE CHECK ON HEART-WELLNESS IN AMERICA AND OFFERED A FREE HEART CHECK FOR MY WIFE AND I WE'LL SEE WHAT HAPPENS. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS RESPONSE?
