this number calls me everyday on my data card

Received 2 calls from this number today. First time it sounded as if I was being transfered to another extension or kept on hold. Second time I answered no one was there. Who are these people???

I also recieved a call now,when i try to cal it bak it is engaged

No jokes, I've received at least 40 calls from this number.  I've given it a ringtone so I know I can ignore it.  I've managed to actually start a conversation that went as follows (seriously);

Me; Who is this, please stop calling,
him: can you hear me know ma'am?
me; yes, but I bet we're going to get cut of right?
him: yes

And then the line went dead.

Since I RICA i have received calls from a lot of insurance, banks, loan sharks maybe the GOV are making money selling your number to these companies
The best ones are those sms's that you have won some money in the UK

Be careful guys, the person that phoned me said they were phoning from my bank! When calling back I get an engaged tone. Didn't give them any information, sounded very dodgy.

Thank you Nera I think I will follow your advice to give 011 561 1200 a ring tone so that I can ignore this as well. Whoever it is is very annoying, and the worst part is they told me that they were phoning from the bank. Luckily I didn't give them any information.

Hi everyone, i think it must be a glitch of some sort, im getting the same calls from the same number, it must be a computer who are phoning, maybe like a fax line that is some how connected to a system with random numbers on it, and we so happen to be the lucky one's on that system,,,

just to add to my message, im almost 100% sure its not a person who is phoning, i think we must just try and find to who the line belongs, and report it, i dont think its anything to be scared of... its just EXTREMELY ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My story is the same as all of yours. It is surprising how many people have reported this number. Why call if you do not want to speak to someone. I hand a missed call but my phone didn't even ring. Stupid people.

This person must be traced. They keep calling my son. Yesterday 18 times and does not talk. This morning someone else answered and they want to offer him a job. This is a sick person. Dont trust anything. Be very careful

I just posted my comment now cause I am experiencing the same problem with this number,I spoke to my sister who works @ Telkom and she says she will check for me and will come back to me later today,I think we might get the [***]!!!!

hi people...hav'nt you received a call from 0124724248 sayin that u owe sum clothing store money even though you never owned a clothing acc--tried calling the number but the number does not exist..what worries me is that these MotherF$#$^# hav all my details..from my id number to mr res address!! pls help!!!
