I received a call from the same number and the caller was screaming it was hard to hear what she was saying. but she asked if I have received the gold discount card that they sent me, also asked me to confirm my address and banking details. I asked her what's in for them when I get the discount on everything I buy, she said nothing, I am just being rewarded for being an FNB account holder then asked for my banking details. I then asked what has my banking details got to do with their "discount card"? She then asked me why I am wasting their time if I don't want the card then hung up. HOW THE HELL DID THIS PEOPLE GET HOLD OF PERSONAL DETAILS....

i reveived the call today, and to me they said the name of the company is sizabantu, but not the full name. when i tried to google the name it give a long list of sizabantu with different fields of businesses, so i couln't really get to anything, so i just cut the call

I RECEIVED A CALL FROM 031 9405487 ZANELE- shouting at me on offering the vouchers and when I refused, she hung up.

I just got a phone call from the same bloody number she knows all my details. FNB has to be involved in this in one way or another we cant all be getting the same phone call from the same Indian woman who has our personal details and FNB not know about this. I mean this has been goin on for sometime now (judging from the date of the first enquire on this number ).

i got the call from Sizabantu 031-940-5487 telling me that they will send me a discount card they knw my acc nmber n my id nmber also my residential address :-o . i used fnb on 2012 nw i dont bcz i was receiving my allowances from nsfas nw am done on tertiary. how dd they get my banking details :-(

I just received a call from these people. They have all my FNB banking details. They sound very dodge. How did they get all my banking information????

I got a call from this no. In January 2015, the lady who introduced her name that l can't remember told me she was from Fnb n she wanted to know whether l received my gold discount card from fnb. I said no n she apologized for that n promised to resend it. She confirmed my details, names, address, id, n they were all correct. She confirmed my account number by mentioning the first  4 digits (which l now realize that it is one of the codes for fnb accounts) n asked me to continue with the rest so that she could b sure that l was the right person. She asked whether l use the account monthly and whether l got my monthly salary through that acc n when l said no, she asked about my source of money that is in  the acc. l began to be ambitious n told her that. She said everything was in front of her, on the computer, she was just confirming for my benefit, if she wanted to steal my money she wouldn't waste time calling me. She said the call was recorded for security purposes an asked if l wanted to know the reference no which she quoted to be 'ref' . l told her that l am unemployed, n don't have monthly salary she said l did not qualify for the voucher card n dropped. I called fnb customer care to find out about such a call, and no records were found, they questioned the ref no n told me that they do not have such a number. I tried to call the number n it did not exist
the following morning l went to the nearest fnb branch, they did not recocnize the no, they called it themselves, it didn't exist.

Can that be a reason why they have all details. Fnb should do something to protect their customers

I have been receiving these calls from this number for a week now and whenever they call i'm always busy. But, today i finally had a chance to listen to them and they told me about some discount vouchers and gold card and that they work together with FNB. They have all my personal details even my id number, few digits of account number and address. This is worrying me a lot. When the Indian guy who called me wanted me to confirm the rest of my account number i got intrrupted and asked him to hold for a second, tjoo lets just say he really yelled at me as if i was his maid or garden boy but in all that i could sense that his voice was full of frustration and was in panic mode. I started to worry and dropped the call. He called me back but i did not pick up. I then went thru my calls trying to find out when exactly this number started to call me and noticed that about three weeks ago this very same number called me but then it was a woman that i spoke with and the woman was telling me about some vw discounts as i'm a good client of vw (her words) . I rejected this woma's offer then according to my cellphone call recordings with her. NO what i relly dont understand is how come its so easy for FNB to give out confidential information about their clients coz people nowadays can do a lot of things with outher people's id numbers? why is fnb not doing anything regarding this matter coz clearly these people are not who they say they are?

I just called FNB and they know nothing about this Sizabantu and Gold discount card meaning that this is a scam. Now what i wanna know is how did these people get all these personal details with account numbers of FNB clients only? what is FNB doing about this?

I also received a call from 031-940-5487 today,the lady just asked to talk to me & just after I said it is I who is speaking she dropped the line ,the lady sounded a bit scared like she is not sure of something

I received a call from this number (031 940-5785). An indian woman was on the phone...she offered me 5-50% discount vouchers & roadside assist.

She also knew my Bank (Nedbank), my bank account number & my date of birth.

She then stated that they will Debit R199.00 and then R100.00 every month.

I then attempted to tell the woman that I DID NOT agree/consent to their product.

She would not listen...she abruptly hung up, while I was speaking.

My worry is that they have/know all my details AND how do I prevent them from debiting me??!

I notice that you posted your message mid-2014. Has your bank account been debited since that incident?

I've just received that call and I'm very worried.

I have just received a call today ( 08.04.2015), form this number confirming my id number and than requested for my account number.

Please don't confirm you details, as they tell you your details. Please can someone refer this to FNB fraud department immediately.

Your post is a little disjointed. Did you send money in advance for something? Say a loan, prize, or gift card? (NEVER a good idea) If you used a cash wire transfer service (Western Union, etc.) your money is gone. If it was from a credit card, or bank account, call your bank right away. All of this depends on what you agreed to do, and the results of those actions.

It's not only FNB, I'm with ABSA.
