- Aylagh MacAnnadh, M.D. replies to Fed Up Texas WomanJust wanted to say you are a wonderful woman and I totally admire you! I know about the menopause bit but it doesn't wash here in New Jersey. The only thing they think about NJ folks is that we're dumb hicks who don't do anything but go around in circles. After living here for a while I'm starting to wonder if they could be right. My husband is Jersey born and raised but I'm a Philly gal and moving across the Delaware was culture shock. Going round in circles, Yup!
God Bless All,

- Aliya replies to Helen from CA| 2 repliesMy mom has been getting that same phone call every since she got her new phone and every time she answers it no one is there and now she thinks her phone is tapped
- Ruth| 2 repliesHi. My case is different then yours. I'm in the middle of changing phone carriers and after speaking to both for so long, something strange happened. Every time I make a call using my cell phone, right above the name I'm calling, the numbers 10000000000000 appear on top of my screen. I don't know why and how do I get rid of it. Please help if you ever experienced the same problem.
Thanks- Caller: Not sure
- Pudge replies to Ruth| 1 replyHi Ruth, I don't know anything about phones and I don't even know what kind of phone you have but I had a similar problem with my Samsung Galaxy2. When I started dialing, the numbers I was putting in came up as all zeros. I contacted customer support and they had me reboot (didn't work first time) and then take out the battery. After I put the battery back in and rebooted yet again, it stopped. You might have to call your support service.
- Ruth replies to PudgeThank you. I appreciate your help.
- Maria from FLReceived a call from this number and because I use this phone for business and personal, I answered it. Middle-eastern sounding woman wanting to talk about grants and when I politely said "no, thank you" she responded with a "f&^k you B&*^h."
- Caller: Did not mention a company name
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Vance replies to Helen from CAThe one thing I found out from one of my apps is that the call which which thousands of people get, comes from somewhere in Bermuda! If nothing else, it's a start!
- Vance replies to Helen from CA| 1 replyI have a program that finds fake phone numbers which I found on Google play store. I put in this number which I have been getting everyday. It told me that the call comes from them name Unknown Lee in Columbus, Ohio. This is the best program I have found so far.
- Vance replies to Helen from CAYou should be able to block this caller if you are receiving on a landline or on a cell there are many call blocker programs. I am using 3 call blockers on my cell phone and receive no unwanted calls whatsoever!
- LisaeckerleKeeps calling all day
- JackI have turned on 'block' anonymous calls via *77 and yet 1-000-000-0000 still get through. I have TWC cable internet telephone and cannot block this call via their VoiceZone.twc.com services either.
However I can block 1-000-000-0000 directly on my Panasonic Cordless Phone. When I do, it will make a partial ring and disconnect the call.
I also saw for the 1st time ever a call from (area code)-555-1212 which has long been a famous number because it's been used for decades as a fake number for training purposes and to ignore it. Of course, that is block able too.
For other calls, I that seem to be legitimate numbers but have used fake names (Tip Top Cleaners, generally names of cities with the state, e.g. Lexington, KY from an 859 Area Code Number) I use VoiceZone from TWC for it gets blocked before it gets to my phone.
Those callers are fighting a loosing battle. It's been a long time since people only expected calls from family, friends, neighbors, and local businesses and local government services and just picked up a call unquestioned. They know now to avoid answering these calls.
What likely to happen in the future is anonymizing calls or misrepresenting calls via PBX type calls processors will be blocked before they are rung through. There are not that many legitimate businesses in the world such that they can't be screened and forced to register their true identity before being allowed to place calls.- Caller: Looser Scam
