Received a text message from this number giving a card payment confirmation #QPIVDT3582811500 for $4522.68 paid 2/5/08 and posted to account 822206737 today

It's the number AT&T uses to send messages confirming bill payments or account changes.

Totally harmless and they are FREE.

i got 2 texts back to back with the same thing the only difference was that one amount was for1569.37 and the other was for 156.37. Have no idea where it came from havent paid my bill and 1569.37 is alot for a cell phone bill. does anyone have any clues?

I received the message too. I don't know who or what. I will just ignore it. More information would be helpful

received on my cell phone. I have no idea who this is. I believe it is a text message, but I have text messaging blocked on my phone...so this leads me to believe that it might be AT&T, my cellphone provider...how else could a text message be sent to my blocked phone?

same number, said 246.00 was authorized on my cc. Call 611 if I did not authorize.

I have this number on my cell phone text messages - have no idea what this is about.  Since I just experience a total crash on my computer from the latest virus - I am very leary of this.

I just got one of these messages today about 10 minutes ago and have no idea how they got my number but i am guess sense the latest thing i have done differently is i bought a plain ticket off of orbit.com the amount i paid for my ticket dose not at all match the price of the text messages amount nor do i have an account number anywhere that matches the one they gave me so.. whateve. i don't see how this is effective phishing at all.

I got the message at 7:58am today 6/13/09.  Card Payment Confirmation # QPIVAT353.... for $53.75 paid 6/13/09 posted to account 2488..... on 6/13/09.    I buy Nothing by phone.  I don't have any apps or anything on my phone.  It is definately the same 1-111-148-7799 number though.  I have Cingular service with one of those $29.99 wall mart phones.  What phone service does everyone have that gets these?

got the same number saying i could pay my phone bill from the phone but
im not the one responsable my guess is some one cracked into the at&T database and grabed a bunch of numbers to use for phising you get down to it

If you receive this message and DON'T know what it is CALL AT&T IMMEDIATELY. AT&T uses this number to notify you about billing and account changes. For example if you see an address change, and you didn't request it, it means someone else is messing with your account.

I received a text today (7/22/09) stating that 812.34 was paid to a credit card.  An account number was listed.  The origin is listed as 111-148-7799.  I certainly don't have such an account.

my bank account has no activity with a payment that high so far. i think you have to reply back for them to get information to actually charge you. so dont reply!

I keep getting message from 1-111-487-00 calling att has been no help. at lease 5 a day. the message reads

//SVAgICdTEAQAD/   and continues on in this format. Not readable to me.

Anyone know what this is?
