- K Priest replies to Make them stopDONT give up your land line, they're important. When power goes out and you have a regular phone they work. In the wonderful land of Lincoln the state Legislature is trying to tax people more for land lines so that just tells me $ is the driver and in this corrupt state I believe it. Also never say the word yes to any thing if you're asked a question, you will be hit some where with an addition to the scam. Don't give up, make THEM have a pain in the butt cheeks.

- Tired of phony callsReceived four 1-ring calls. Answered 4th call. No one there. Have received many different calls like those reported here - from many different numbers - mostly the Microsoft scam telling me that my computer called them to report suspicious activity and they needed access to my computer to fix it. Can't someone (Microsoft??) figure some way to handle this harrassment? (Not blaming Microsoft, just asking for help.)
- Caller: Not specified - no one on the line
- Call type: Silent call
- anonymouseCaller ID read WIRELESS CALLER. It was a woman with a foreign accent, Indian I think. She claimed to be from Microsoft and wanted to talk about my computer. I asked which computer and she said the Windows computer to which I replied "Which one? I have a dozen computers." And then she hung up.
- Caller: Microsoft Tech Support Not!
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Uniden User| 1 replyI wish whoever is responsible for this would drop dead. I answered this call, recognised ambient noise, realised it is a nuisance, and hanged-up before caller could introduce emself. Uniden D1680 shows 'WIRELESS CALLER' '164-661-2354'. This is unusual: usually, Uniden D1680 shows country code but this time it did not.
