Still the Microsoft scam artists. Indian guy was on the line. I told him to put me on his do not call list as I know it is a scam. He exclaimed "No, it's not!" just before I slammed down the receiver.

Didn't answer because I didn't recognize number and it was unusual.  Left a message with a female voice saying, "You're going to die."

A guy wanted me to check if my computer was running Microsoft security. He also told me their software at Microsoft had detected hacking software on my computer. He directed me to MSConfig and asked what services were running and then I just kept telling him everything was running. He called me a liar multiple times and then hung up on me. I'm an IT guy. So, I had a virtual machine ready for him if he wanted to connect to me. The scripts they read from are also really bad. If he knew anything about computers, he would have kept the call going. He had no idea what he was doing. If it was a security software issue, you would check Microsoft Security Essentials or whatever security you have on your computer first. I really wanted to drive the guy crazy, but sadly he hung up.

Overall though, it was clearly a scam to try and add viruses to your computer.

Stopped ringing when my answering machine picked up. Strange area code, so I didn't pick up. Scammer. Kind of wish I had picked up because I wanted to mess with them. Oh, well, I'm sure I'll get another chance!

Same. Microsoft error message claim. . I let him know what I thought in blunt terms and blocked the number.

I didn't answer when they called.  When I googled the #, I found alll these complaints.  They're not in the US so telling them to take your # off the list won't help and neither will threatening them with the FBI.  It's also a spoofed #, so it's not even legit.  I'm kinda torn between blocking them and answering with a bullhorn, and THEN blocking them....

Even though I use the [***], Hindi or else Albanian OS, these crap-holers want me over to switch to Windows (Microsoft). Fancy that.

CID shows 'Wireless Caller', no message, hung up.

Caller ID said Out of Area. Didn't recognize the number. No message left. Glad I read the comments above. Wish all these scammers would go to hell.

Microsoft SCAM, no more no less.  Hang up.

Received a call from this number with 4 seconds of silent voicemail this morning at 3:45

Didn't answer anytime phone says no available I say diito neither am I and this one is added to my blocked caller list.!

Had one try to"fix" my Dell Mini laptop - offered to 'fix' it for $250.  Told the idiot that the netbook was only worth $100.00 and for $250, I'd buy a new laptop.  The bidding for my money stopped at $125, and at that point I told him the netbook would be a great skeet target.  PULL!!, anyway, found their software gateway, eliminated it and it wasn't affected by their ransom ware.

His name was "Jake" sounded foreign to me. He tried to tell me something was wrong with my computer, I told him it was fine and take this number off your list, he said my computer wasn't fine, I told him bulls*@! And hungup on him.

6:16 pm  noticed 164 area code let call go to answering machine ...
