Got a call from this number. I called them back, and the phone displayed the word "connected", but there was no sound, no answer, nothing. I've read the posts here, very informative. Glad I'm not alone. Evidently it is the Chrysler fax # in NJ...and others have hacked it and are using it wrongly. Oh well...Life is good, and Thank God I'm alive and no physical harm done:) At least they are being taken note of.

The person calling asked for me by name, but called me Lawrence, not Larry. That means the caller not someone who knew me. I said, "Yes". The called hung-up. I called back a few times and got a bunch of beeps. A pox upon this caller.

An ignorant sounding man with perhaps a Mexican or Italian accent called my home number in the middle of the day and asked for "Sydney," my husband's name. He said his name was Roger. My husband does not know any foreigners who call and use only a first name and on a first name basis. My husband has a relative by marriage named Rogere, but Roger is a 10th generation American and so does not sound like some ignorant foreigner over the telephone. I asked this sob to identify himself over the phone and he would not. I understand that this call came from Hackensack, NJ. I live in New Jersey once, but in South Jersey and no one I knew ever sounded like this ignorant sob!

Only professional people call my husband beside family members. We have no foreign immigrants in our family.

Got a phone call from 201-845-6009 with no one there. Called back to tell them "not to call again" and got a busy circuit signal. No one answers. VERY annoying

Received a call from this number, guy asked for my husband.  I said he was not here and asked if I could help him and he hung up.

got a call from this number (201-845-6009) today asking for my husband.  when i asked who was calling they hung up.  i had received a call yesterday from a different number about lowering credit card debt and the caller got very irate with me when i told them to remove my number from their list, i reported that call to the FTC and was told if i had any other problems to call them back.  so when i got this call today i decided to investigate it.  found out this number is (was) associated with a car dealership in NJ.  i called the dealership and spoke with a very nice woman and found out their fax number was stolen and is being used to scam people into giving credit card info (they say they are selling extended car warranties).  they are gathering information about others who are receiving calls from this number.  feel free to pass your experience along to them

Par, NJ on Wed 8/8/12 @4"44pm. Our Ram PU (2007) has a pd up life-time warranty & we don't owe any on it, we got it in 2008. So they are barking up the wrong tree when calling us!

At least this time they called while I was in the shower & I happen to have a talking CID ph in the bathroom also. I DO NOT answer the ph anyway if I don't recognize the # & sure DON"T when I am in shower or otherwise busy. That's why we have ans. mach.

Since I now know the # was stolen from Chrysler Fax I'll call them & add my # to the list the CROOKS are calling. Maybe if we all do that, they will be caught. And the sooner the better!

I got this call too!They just sat there on the phone,I asked who was calling and they hung up!Some of my family members have been getting calls from random numbers!They are trying to get your information!Do not fall for their tricks!

No it doesn't seem to matter ... they have either found a way around the 'Do Not Call' register or just don't care.  Neither answer leaves us, the consumer, any better for it.  Blocking the calls only works short term; they just spoof another number and continue with unsolicited calls.  I understand how frustrating it is to get these calls; believe they just go through these numbers one at a time hoping for response.

They just steal/spoof another number to get around the blocks.  It's a scam that seems to grow without punishment.  Private and unpublished numbers appear to have no bearing on the callers ability.  Mobile phones aren't any safer ... they start with a range of numbers and continue calling.  We as consumers should have recourse against this; but it seems we don't, even being on DNC (Do Not Call) register doesn't stop them.

Scumbags called and didn't leave a message.  Filed complaint with FCC, FTC, and state attorney general.  Don't expect anything but I have a record if I can ever do anything about it.

When I answered, accented man said he was calling about my vehicle. He got the make and year right. I asked what about my car. He said I still had not renewed my warranty and when he said are you still at -- I interupted to say this is fishy; I do not need to renew my warranty. Before I got that sentence out, he hung up. When I call the number, I get a rapid busy signal. Disturbing.

I too have called this dealership....they have had their fax number high jacked. They have done everything they can do....where is the FCC on this one (I even offered to call their attorney general.  I renew the do not call list as suggested. I do report these people. They just  spoof/high jack another number. It has been going on here at least 4 years here.

No one is on the line when I answer the call from this number. Very frustrating.

Called, Friday 9/28/2012.  No message left.  No idea who this is.

Just received a call from 201-845-6009.  Never lived in NJ nor have family or friends there.  Asked for me by name, when I asked "who's calling please?".  Guy responded with, "I don't answer questions" then hung up.
