I have the same experience as the above comments but have never talked to anyone at all. I don't know what someone would use this technique for-its weird. I have had at least 100 calls over the last month.  Seems ti be coming from Kansas?

I've been getting calls from this number 6-10 times a day for over a week. They don't speak and they leave voicemails that don't say anything either. Very irritating.

This number called twice in a 2 hour period. I picked up the second time and the person asked for a random persons name I told them to stop calling me because it was getting annoying. Then out of nowhere the guy started singing on the phone. It was sort of funny at first then I told to him to go f himself and he stopped singing and I hung up.

Called today, foreign woman I could barely understand. She said she was with the U.S. government and that I qualified for some kind of grant that only so many people get. Gave me a confirmation ID number and another phone number to call. 202-580-8516. Then she asked me how I wanted to receive the grant money...checking account, credit card account or money gram. I told her there was no way I was giving her my account information. As soon as she asked for account information, I knew it was a scam. Never called the other number. Not wasting my time.

This number has called me twice today, the second time I answered to a foreign guy asking my age. I asked him why and the told me to verify. I asked who he was calling with and he told me the  license department. I asked what kind and he said passport and then he said drivers. I also asked what state he was calling from since he claimed to be in America, he said va then new York. I told him I wasn't giving him any information I was not from either state he mentioned. I then proceeded to tell him that I wasn't giving him any information and he sounded like he was from a different country and that he sounded half drunk. This dude says no ma'am I am fully drunk and I just want your age because I like you. Lol wtf! Hang up. At least I got a laugh out of it!

This number call and when I answered. I ask who are and what do you want he said he wanted my money. I told he he wasn't getting my money. Then told me if I didn't get him money he was gonna [***] with me. I argued with him for a few minute and he basically keep saying he was gonna [***] with me I finally hung up. Someone needs to do something about this. He has also call my mom and asked for a [***].

Had several calls from this # today. I didn't answer. Yesterday they called my land line. Made the mistake of answering. I was told I had won several gift cards and started asking ???  She wanted to know my age and my occupation.  I said I was 103 and lived as a bum. She hung up on me.

Spam for sure. Despite caller ID saying it's from D.C., the lady has a thick Indian accent. She claimed she was working for "the federal government"... but wouldn't say which department. Apparently I'm eligible for a $9,000 "no strings attached" "grant" for no reason whatsoever. I just had to give my bank information, social security #, and credit card info. Obviously I didn't provide those. This is clearly a scam.

They call me too same thing, however I did not follow through with calling the other number...I figured it was a scam when they asked for my master card or bank account. or I could receive my  grant money through the money gram store at walmart..they knew my name and address. I didn't give them any information..but they already had my name and address...I hate scammers.

My caller ID says this number is from District of Columbia. It is automated, not sure who it is but I hang up because it is automated.
