That's exactly what happened to me

I responded to a Kijiji Ad for a bedroom set and gave my cell number. The lady called me from this number and gave me the address : 730 Deveron Rd. Unit 12. I'm supposed to go see the set today, Feb. 2, 2016. I decided to Google the # since it seemed unusual to me. Now i'm too scared to go there to see the furniture.  (By the way, it's a very unique set and I really liked it!)

These unknown calls are the pits - I just don't answer any numbers I don't recognize!   From the looks of the above remarks  I ma doing myself a favor.  What thugs & vandals exist!  Can't the dern gov't. & phone services cut this stuff out????????  We are a nation of idiots to allow this to happen to us!  My advise:  If you do not recognize the number, don't answer the dang phone..  Another scam is the RESTRICTED calls.  If it says that on the screen - DO NOT ANSWER!!!

Said they were the IRS filing a claim against me.  Then told me too call them back at a different number.  Called me twice today.

The guy said my name then "you recognize my number now." Don't need this crazy crap.

The above number called many times per day.  I do not ever answer calls that I do not know even if it is the area code that I live in.Good luck scammers...LOL🤣🤣

Dude named Antoine wanted to speak to the person who handles our mailing/shipping.  Who do we use most often? UPS or FedEx?  We don't ship a lot of stuff. End of call.  I couldn't hear what he said was the name of his biz.  Have to assume it's some kind of logistics company.

Got a call from an Indian sounding guy who called me my mothers name & something about a house & going through with out my participation. I couldn’t stop laughing... the guys got NO LIFE

This number just called my work phone and the caller ID said "Phone DC Cell."  The person left a voicemail saying he was from "Document Delivery Service" and said that they had tried to deliver documents to my home address requiring my signature, but they were sent back.  He then left a call back number of 833-698-4692 so I could call back and reschedule delivery.  I'll call back when pigs fly.

Just recieved a call from 202-239-8934. Didn’t answer and they left a message stating “This message is for _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ heck _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ regarding the property _⁠_ located at Mount _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ Avenue we have documents are scheduled to go out for _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ is a courtesy message to schedule time for delivery of the documents and questions or require a signature please contact is _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ office _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ the next couple hours at 833-504-9984 _⁠_⁠_ reference file number 84652…”

Sounds like a scam to me

Just received a call from this #, I did not answer the call.  "Eva" left a message to return her call and gave a reference #, she stated it was about delivering a package for my son who she listed by name.  She asked that I return the call at 833-504-9984.

recorded call saying I am in trouble with the IRS and will be arrested if I don't call them back

Called asking for someone I don't know. Told him there was no one by that name. He then asked if he could leave a message, to which I asked if he didn't understand the fact that there was no one here by that name.

I get called by this number several times a week as a recording saying it is the IRS and I am being investigated.

My AT&T go phone number was changed to this number 202-239-8934 and my previous number was lost!!!

Said to call another number to schedule a delivery, We told them not to call, we weren't  expecting anything this has been happening for about a month.

I got a call from this number 15 times over the last few days. I never answer calls I dont recognize and they never leave a message but my phone blocker alerted me that the number is listed as a Toshiba scam call. I did some looking and it goes back to a person named Fanta Kamara  with an address listed as 2607 Welsh Rd Apt F303 Philadelphia PA 19114-3320  just for anyone's info that was interested. It's a scam number and he's linked to about 20 different scams all the way back to 2010. Be careful!
