- David CI received this and it said your code is. THis may suggest someone is trying to change your account settings and google calls your registered number in an auto call so you can verify. It is annoying (mine can in at 1 am) but it may be hacckers trying to get access to your accounts. Anyone have any knowledge on this>?
- Caller: Dont know for sure
- rAOhe called my cell phone too but I did not answer! LOSER
- PhenoixBeen getting a few calls(202-455-8888) every so often from this same number for awhile now. I can possibly link it to my yahoo messenger account. The "gal" on the other line said it was her long lost sister when it came up as restricted one time as well. I can only say that I'm being swarmed with these calls and would prefer someone get involved with the FBI to do something about this.
On a wild theory.... However. I wouldn't doubt its someone that managed to used Heart Bleed to hack the NSAs surveillance files and not just me personally. That could very well mean the entire country is being harassed as we type out our complaints.- Call type: Prank

- KyleIt's the number for google to verify google voice or a new gmail account. But hackers can enter the number they want to show up so use the same number. So if you set up an account, it's google. If you didn't, then don't go along.

- whateverloveis replies to Scammer Alert| 11 repliesI had met this guy on Facebook and we had been talking for almost a month. He said that I was about to get a call and to enter the 2 digit code 17. I entered the code but then hung up when it wanted me to record my voicemail lol
I will admitt I was stupid for believing that he loved me but not stupid enough to fall for that lol - KateI have a hypothesis: Have any of the people here been looking for a job through an internet job board?
They have our phone numbers and our contact information there for anyone seeking a job.
I have gotten a few emails from people that makes no sense to me--from out of state and internationally, as well as a lot more phone calls like this since I changed my number recently. Before changing my number, I did not get these calls.- Call type: Prank

- Terry| 1 replyI got a call from 202-455-8888 on my cell phone yesterday and it gave me a verification code. A man I have been speaking with via phone, email, & yahoo messenger for over 4 months told me I would be getting this call so he can connect with me on another chat program. I do not have a google mail account. I do not know what is going on here and feel that I may be a victim of a scam and have checked my phone account constantly. I have not seen an unusual charges so not sure what this is for. I will report this to the government agency because it needs to stop.

- Mia replies to missed agian| 1 replySome people actually fall for such scams. I am a Kentuckian, and this infuriates me, whether it's a Kentucky criminal or from another state. Lord knows, I have had more than my share of prejudice from the mere fact that I am a Kentuckian. It seems that law enforcement could catch these crooks. So the jerk gave enough information to try and make it look legitimate. I hope those two scumbags are now in prison where they belong.
