They call every day several times a day, all hours of the day and evening.  No message.  Very inconvenient and frustrating as I had knee surgery and sometimes get to the phone just as they hang up.  I want to tell them to take me off their call list, even though my number is ON a no call list,  but the number does not accept calls.

I receive these calls as well. If you call the number back and go through the automated phone you can get your number removed.

First call my wife said we were not interested and she hung up.  She didn't answer the next two.  They left no message.  Then I answered not knowing she had dealt with them.  They talked me into giving out pamphlets.  After talking to my wife, I am going to send them back.  Just don't know what legit this organization is.

AICR calls about every 4-5 days.  tonight (8/24), 8/21 (twice), 8/15, 8/11 - these are just for the last 2 weeks.  They call WAY early in the morning and sometimes pretty late at night.  When I answer, I don't usually get a response, but I hear noise in the background.

The Do Not Call list does not apply to not-for-profits. They can annoy you all they want. You have to talk to them and ask them to take you off their list. Even then they often don't. And you actually have to answer the phone to do that.

Today, they got the answering machine and hung up after a couple of click-clicks.

Unfortunately, I have found that asking the "charitable" telemarketers to take your name off their lists is almost useless -- a rare thing if they actually do so.

They call everyday and when I answer no one is on the other end

Received call from this number yesterday as AICR and today as unknown name.  Left no message.  However, if it is a telemarketer, I'm on the no call list.

Received several calls from this number.  Tried to answer the phone, but no one would talk back.  Finally someone answered and said they were from the American Institute of Cancer Research.  They asked if I would mail 15 letters to my neighbors and pay for the postage.  I agreed.  They said I would get them in October.  The funny thing is they keep calling at least three times a day.  I have not answered the phone anymore.

Called once while I was as work, answering machine picked up, no message.  Called again while I was home, saw the number, picked up and there was nobody on the other end.  I will no longer answer when this number shows up and will turn them in to the "No Call" site.

Yes, this company continues to call us. It will ring 3 times and then hang up. No message is ever left. Going to check with our phone company (Time Warner Cable) and see if there is anyway to block unwanted calls.

Several calls last week on the minute at the same time. Caller ID and number. I
must have picked one of these calls and there was just slight machiene noise
on the other end. Reading other reports I do not think that they are legit.
Someone has to complain in view of all the evidence (of course I am on
no call list)
