Robotic call from IRS- Julie Smith, 202 506 8392 threatening action against me

Just got a call from this number as well, with the same details as everyone is reporting here.

I've attempted to call them back and speak with them. It's incredible how far these guys will go. I wanted to know how much information they have on me and so I told them I had recently moved and asked what address they have on file. They gave me an old address and then told me I should submit IRS form 7a, but since it has been over five years that I will be arrested tomorrow.

At one point, it went to a voicemail that provided other contact numbers. I called one of the numbers, which on the message said it was for Shawn/Sean (sp?) Hess (sp?) for media inquiries, and it was correct except the person worked for the Philadelphia Prison. So it does seem, as others on here have mentioned, that they are somehow switching between lines and using the 202 number as a front.

I received calls from 202-506-8392 and 202-841-8108 claiming they were the IRS.  It is a scam.  My son got calls too.  I have 3 tel lines and they called each one and they are unrelated entities.  Be careful.  They call multiple times.

The tel comes up as (202) 241-8108 Ymax Oration Landline in Washington, DC on reverse look up.

I received a call this morning 9-18-2014 at 8:30 am from a Julie Smith as well saying that I need to return the call as soon as possible regarding my tax funds.... so when I called back a man by the name of Shawn marsh answer and refused to let me speak with Mrs Smith and demanding that I send him 1000 dollars to keep me from getting arrested today.... and I found that very funny cause the years he gave me that I supposedly owed money from I didn't even have a job... so I was like this some fraud mess and hung up and I called my local sheriff office and reported it....

Caller left message demanding that someone return her call.  However she neglected tom ask for anyone in particular.  It sounded likje a joke!!

Thanks for this post....just saved me a lot of heartache. Received the same message.  When I called back i reached someone I could barely understand.  They said I owe $6700 now and if I did not pay ASAP I would owe another $17,000 and be arrested.  When I asked several times to speak more clearly he hung up.  I tried calling back several times but reached a line with no one on it or straight to VM.  Did not sound very IRS like.

I received a call on my voice mail before 9am on Friday Sept.19 with the same nonsense as these other people went through--Julie from IRS,don't disreguard this call,call back immediately, and threats of more action. I pay my bills so I did not call back. Sounds like another bad scam.

Said it was the IRS. There name was Julie Smith.

i received a call this past weekend from this number stating that they are the IRS. I reported it to the IRS, and the FBI.

Got the same call and if went to my voice mail and called to see what this was because it was very unprofessional and it went to v/m. I hardly answer my home phone now days call was today 9/23/14

I just received the same call on Sept 24th, 2014.  DO NOT CALL BACK!!!

Total scam!!

I just received a call today from "Julie Smith". The message was on my voicemail. When I tried to call back, just to test the number, it rang and clicked a few times. I pay my taxes and the IRS does not call people. This is a SCAM.

Got call from this number. Person claims his name as David and mentioned that I have a warrant for arrest due to IRS suspecting me income fraud. The person didn't know what he was talking about and had Indian accent. I knew right away it's a fraud call. Be aware
