GOT THE STRANGE CALL FROM THIS NUMBER THAT I WAS SUCH A GOOD CITIZEN THAT THEY WERE GIVING ME $7000 IF I GO TO WESTERN UNION AND GIVE THEM $199 TO MAKE SURE IT WAS ME RECEIVING THE CASH.  MY QUESTION WAS HOW WAS MONEY GOING TO IDENTIFY ME AND WHY COULDN'T THEY TAKE IT FROM MY GOOD CITIZEN MONEY;  HE HUNG UP.  PLUS IT WAS THE SAME PERSON THAT CALLED ME THE FIRST TIME TO GIVE ME THE OTHER NUMBER TO CALL.  BEWARE

THIS IS THE BIGGEST SCAM I HAVE  EVER BEEN TRIED TO GET TO PARTICIPAT IN ABD AT CHRISTMAS TIME.

I got a call from 202-621-0422. They really sound scam to me. They wanted me to send money to them through western union. I taped the call just if i need it for future references. Surprisingly, the guy who called me is clearly Indian. However, when i asked him about his name, he gave me Jack William. Well, If you tour all India, you will not find one with such a name. they are trying to use a white names to got more people to their scams. I wish FBI got its hand on these illegal scammers.

I received a call from "Sharon Jones" with a thick accent about 35 minutes ago and she informed me that I was selected for a grant because of a demographic study in my area and I qualified because I have no criminal record, I pay my taxes on time, and I've never filed for bankruptcy. She had my address & asked for my date of birth  and if I wanted to have my money sent to my checking account, debit card, or check. I told her I was not accepting the grant. She gave me a 202  621-0649 phone number & gave me a money ID #SN001. I've worked in a bank, & I knew immediately it was a scam. I called the # to give them a piece of my mind but it went to voicemail. I left them a voicemail telling them that I know it's a scam and that I will be reporting them.

I also just received the phone call, but from "Amy" with the thick accent, who informed me that I was selected for a grant because of a demographic study in my area and I qualified because I have no criminal record, I pay my taxes on time, and I've never filed for bankruptcy. She had my address & asked for my date of birth  and if I wanted to have my money sent to my checking account, debit card, or check.   I know from being a federal employee that this was a scam, that the US Govermment offices are monday through friday only.  Since they are impersonating the US Goverment, I have contacted the FBI to inform them of this scam and gave the real FBI all the companies information, please do not fall for this scam.

Sorry that this happend to you,  I have contacted the FBI, because I realized quickly these people were a scam,  I would suggest you contact the FBI in your area because they are impersonating the US Goverment official and that is a federal offense, they may also provide you more details about identity theft and provide you useful information to protect yourself.

Hi the number that called me was 773-649-1101 that contacted me and said that I was qualified for a grant. But I'm not sure if I need to do this or not

I am so glad that I looked up the phone number before sending 340 bucks. Mikeal and Kevin both told me that I would get 7,000 dollars if I sent that money. I told them yeah okay when I get paid. I am blessed that they didn't get me. One number is 202-621-0971 and the other is 202-621-0649. Please be aware of scam.

Sorry dude,but you were screwed.  In the future, just follow one simple rule.  IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.....ITS NOT TRUE!

A fool and his money are soon parted.  WTF were you thinking....given your personal info to some stranger.  was the promise of 7000 bucks just to much to resist?  People please...use your head for more then a punching bag.  If it sounds to good to be true, it isn't true.

Just got a call telling me to call this number and ask for Shawn Swiger to get my $7,000 dollars.  Said they were with the US govt.

This just happened to me. They called me today and said I was randomly selected for this $7000 grant, which would have came in handy. I was supposed to send them $260. Everything was ok until I got to western union and started thinking about it and asking questions. I started asking what kind of grant do you start off paying for. Then when i seen they wanted me to send the money to India I just didnt trust it. Then when the western union lady accidently sent the money to Indiana I took that as a sign and got my money back and told them I would call tomorrow when they opened back up. Im glad i thought to do some research. Im not quick with sending my money to strangers and especially when I can barely understand what they are saying to me. Besides, it was pretty noisy in the background. It didnt sound much like a place of business.

just got a call from (janet jones) said she was with the U.S. government and i was awarded $7000 grant money never have to pay back.the number she gave me is 2024703539 and is from the distric of columbia. 7000 confirmation code number jn715. federal grant dept, washington dc. www.mygovernmentgrant.com. when i called the 2024703539 number, the recorded message said number not in service and recorded code number was, 094T. BEWARE!!!! BESIDES tell me how STUPID i am, can  anyone tell me what else i should do? is there anyway to protect myself from this now? PLEASE HELP!!!!

There is no winning with these people or the other telemarketers. Don't get mad
or lose temper. If you want to get them and have some laugh, have "phone sex"
with them (for free!). At the beginning, act normal, serious, and ask a simple relevant
question. As soon as the caller thinks that you have fallen into their trap, start
the "phone sex" gig. For instance, ask the color of her panty or if he is willing to
have certain type of sex from behind ...

I just got the same call. Now they are promising $9000. I told them I know it is a scam and they said no check out this webpage. I tried and there is no such page. Nice try AH.

Just got a call from Jason SilvIa he said they can mail me a check. So I called the other number 206 866 5705. Another guy said to purchase a green pac card it will cost 4.95 and make sure there is 200 on the card.   Ugh hell no. If its my money why should I pay you?   I really hope they get reported because this is awful to do around xmas and in this economy. There are people like me that are facing eviction that would jump at this chance. Thank god I'm a telemarketer and understand how it goes. Happy holidays guys

Got the same call just now and the number they are using is 2026979244 mygrant.com. Asked my age. I said over such and such. Watch your accounts.
