I've received several calls that sound prerecorded from a man and then a woman with a thick foreign accent.  I anonymously called the number back but it just rang and rang.  They claim to be an officer with the IRS, they give a case number, and state that there is a criminal lawsuit filed by the IRS against me and I must all back.  My tax consultant stated this is a scam and that the IRS would NEVER reach out by phone directly - the communications would be via mail.  Called ID only shows Washington, DC.

Received 2 calls today from this number. I called my attorney and they said it was a scam. If they call you don't give them any information, just hang up. It was an automated system with a terrible indian accent that I could hardly understand and they gave me a case number ch94336 something like that. If this call was so critical I would have had a the state contact me by mail. Its sad how ppl do all they can to take from others. Be safe folks with ur personal information.

Free enterprise at work ... prey on the gullible ... hopefully they burn in hell.

Left message on the voice mail.  Hard to understand but I would have pegged it as a male voice.  Also got slightly threatening at the end.  Said if I did not call him back he could not protect me from what will befall me.

Received a phone call that the answering machine recorded about some criminal suit against me and (same as other posts) wishing me luck as things unfold if I don't return the call.

I received the same message today with the "good luck/ events will unfold on you" BS. The number was (202) 864-1724.

I received the same threat message that others have reported, with an "Attorney" and case number  saying something like "good luck as these these events unfold on you" if I don't call back. The number was (202) 864-1724 (Washington, DC).

I keep getting calls from this number. They don't leave messages. Based on previous reports I'll be blocking the number.
