Called several times from different numbers .Told me I had been selected to receive a grant from the government that I do not have to pay back in the amount of 9000.00. I told caller that I was being harassed by them calling me .

Person keeps repeatedly calling me back.  Threatens when you try to hang up.  I blocked there number.

I have received calls from this number numerous times a day for a couple weeks now.  I finally answered today to get more information.  A man with a very thick accent said that I won a grant of $8,500 for paying my taxes and bills on time, not having a criminal history, and for never filing bankruptcy.  When I asked him his name, he said Michael Cole but the name definitely doesn't match up with the thick Indian accent.  I started taking notes of everything that was said. Here are my notes:
-1500 citizens have been randomly selected for this grant
-I can choose how to receive the money: cash (western union, walmart, or somewhere else that I couldn't understand), wire transfer, or bank card.  I chose cash because it seemed to be the least intrusive route.
-The money is already reserved for me through the Federal Reserve Bank of New York
-My confirmation ID is NR300 ... apparently that is a very important number.
-Asked me to verify the following, some of which he already had the information for: address (already had it), phone number (already had it), my age (I lied about this one just to see if he'd notice anything), marital status, employment status, and the city/state/zip where I live (already had it).
-I need to call one of his senior accountants within 45 minutes to receive the money today.  202.470.5877 and he couldn't give me the name of the person I should ask for.

I noticed that there was a lot of chatter in the background.  I won't be calling that other number.

Same man with thick accent called.  Wouldnt give me a clear answer as to what he wanted.  I argued with him and told him to stop calling and hung up.  He caled back 5 times in a row.  When I answered he yelled for ignoring his calls.  He then rattled off my address and said he was coming to my house tonight at 9pm.  I told him to do it....I have firearms.  By this time I was a little rattled.  My friend then got on the phone with him to get more information and get him to leave me alone.  We finally had to just block the #.  I have firearms and know how to use them, but it was still unsettling.  These foreign [***] need to leave us alone.  Our country has gotten way too weak!

This bozo called me and said the government wanted to give me money.  I said,  "I don't believe you.";   and he hung up!  He's a pretty lousy scammer.  Been jamming his line regularly since.

I said hello several times, no response.  I blocked them.

They claim the government owed 17,000 people money back and I was one of them some thing need to be done about theses sick people after asking her name she got very quiet so I hung up

Hispanic woman called the first time (December 3rd @ 12:37pm) and all she could seem to say was hello. After the 3rd time playing the hello game back and forth I finally told her "You called me. This means that YOU should now speak, NOT just keep saying Hello." This either angered or confused her and she hung up. Since then, he/she/they have called back twice but disconnected without ever saying another word.

This man just called me and his accent was strong so I couldn't hear him much. But he said he was from the Goverment and I was picked for a federal grant. He knew information about me and I played along. He insisted he was from D.C. After readin your comments I am glad I didn't believe the guy!

multiple calls    when I tell them not to call back they swear at me and tell me they will call back everyday  I wont answer anymore

I have been receiving calls from this number non stop. I finally answer one of their calls...a woman with a very thick accent and unbearable background noise asks for me by name. I didn't give her time to announce where she was calling from. I immediately asked to be taken off the call list. I was told to "shut the f**k up" before she hung up.

Me Too! He calls all the time.  Just now I told him please stop calling, he said quote "Blah, Blah, Blah", I said, excuse me???  Crazy!  I called back the number, it just rings and then goes to a busy signal.

Called a number of times.  Did not answer and blocked the call.

Calls almost every day, early morning, like at 7am, later at night, like 8pm. Annoying! I never answer, but when they call early in the morning it is aggravating!

Told me I have 5,500 from my dead son. Told her going to report as a scam. Got snooty with me.

Man speaking broken English called me and was harassing me to get me to pay for his services. When I told him I want going to pay he threatened to come to my house and put a bullet in my head. I called the local sheriff department and they are investigating the number he called from.

Probably the same guy that threatened to come put a bullet in my head today. Called sheriff's office and they are investigating it now.

Indian or Pakistani scammers must be getting desparete.  Usually they just threaten you with jail.  Now they threaten you with death.  US anti-scamming bloggers and internet sites must be working.  Must  be cutting down on their income.

When ever I get a call I look at the number and I wont pick up the phone for a number I do not know.  If it is important they will always leave a message.  Other wise I wait and if I want, I'll go online and type in the phone number to read what is on the message board such as this one.
