crazy! she told me that the goverment ows me 8500, i laughed to me and said sure!!!! how can get the money?
and they asked me all my private info... and guess what i gave my social secuirity,  my DOB, credit card debit card and everything they asked for.....  but everything  was  rung info.....  i myself dont remember what i gave them!!!!!!!!!  LOL!!!!!!!!!

February -2-2016 they've called me a few times I've always hung up so this time I decided to listen and hear what they had to say after I wouldn't pay the money he started throwing the F bomb and other swear words and then he hung up. Lol...

I told them if they didn't stop I was reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, then I hung up

A man called with some kind of accent claiming he worked for the government and was trying to issue me a government grant and that he wanted to "verify" my information. He tried to ask me about my address and then age, but I hung up on him. I'm sure he was hoping he could get all my information in hopes of stealing my identity. Other people - if you get him calling, watch out.

Kept getting calls from this number, tried to return call, no answer. Read through some of these posts and got a number and called it and actually got someone. The number was 202-683-9664. Gave them a false name and a false "return" call code. I asked about the grant money that I was told about and got some information (could barely understand him) I had him give me his extension, ext. 102, his name was "Mark", (yea right). I also asked for an address for his location, he gave me 200 Independence Ave, S.W. DC, 20201. I promptly told him I was with the IRS and we would be showing up at his address within 1 hour....and hung up on him...

finally notified the Do Not Call Registry and lodged a complaint, then I went to my cell phone and blocked the number knowing dam well they will call under a different number

Got a call from this number however it was a woman speaking broken English saying she was from the US treasury grant department. I've never applied for grant! Told her I was on the do not call (she hung up) list.

This man calls every day! I have told him every day that he has the wrong number and to stop calling. Usually the caller id shows 202-000-0010 but today if finally showed this number so I was able to log a complaint with donotcall.gov  He is extremely rude and barely speaks English. He yells at me and will not tell me his name or who he works for.

I've recieved many calls from this number... The lady had a very heavy accent... One morning she told me about $8,000 amount and the next day was $500... I told her please don't contact me again and her reply was BYE...

Got this call as well.  The man belongs in jail.  Why can't the number be tracked and this nonsense stopped!

I got a call from this number today and last friday, heavy accent, a woman told me my grant was approved and she was calling from the federal government. I told her I didn't apply for a grant and she needs to not call me again.  Called back the number and the recording said this number not in service. a scam I'm sure.

Hey there is an app that can be loaded on your iPhone  it is called CALL BLOCKER
I have had it and love it.  When a call comes through it will block it and will not ring.  But make sure that your contacts are up to date. If they are not in your contracts you will miss them.  But when see their number you can call back then add if need be

My husband's cell phone rang with a call from this #.  The caller ID showed that it was a call from Washington DC.  We typically don't answer any calls from numbers that we are unfamiliar with.
We chose to answer the call as we have 2 sons in the military (always on high alert).
The male caller with an odd accent and was hard to hear asked for (illegible)
I asked:  who?
He said:  Sam (illegible)
I asked :  who?
He said:  Sam (illegible)
I said:     You have the wrong #
He replied:  F#@k you! And hung up.

Unbelievable.

I stupidly answered and got the spiel about having $8500 in grant money for me. I said in a very sweet voice "Well that just sounds too good to be true!" and he paused, then hung up. Great strategy, dude.  Then a lady with a thick accent left me a msg from that same number and said in a whiny voice "Why you no pick up?  Whyyyyyy?"  *sigh*
