They claimed to be sueing me  an IRS lawsuit    Seems to be scammers

call from number also claiming to be IRS and filing a lawsuit against me.

Call from this number claiming final notice that the IRS was suing me, wanted me to call back.
Seemed to be a computer generated call.
Asked me to call 202-684-6433

Received a call at the end of the day on Frday supposedly   "from the irs" saying that  they have been trying to reach me, and are filing a lawsuit against me. As with the other notes about this number, this is stated to be their final notice,  and I must call them back immediately.

Received a phone call from 202-684-6433.  Short and brief recorded message saying "The IRS is filing a lawsuit against you.  Please call this number, 202-684-6433".

The IRS does not conduct its affairs this way. More than likely, the IRS would have sent letters in triplicate notifying taxpayer of problem and provide an opportunity for resolution.  Even negative decisions or outcomes by the IRS are not the end of the world, since taxpayers are often provided with the opportunity to "escalate" the issue to a higher authority within the IRS.  And failing that, the taxpayer always has recourse to appealing any decisions rendered by the IRS.

So this is obviously a scam.  The IRS just does not leave a general recorded message to an unnamed party threatening a lawsuit.

The message is obviously designed to alarm someone into action and returning a call to the number mentioned so that they according to what I have read on this thread, have the opportunity to do a hardsell re. free grant money and request personal financial account information.

Do not return the call.

Got a call to call back the IRS because they are filling a law suit against me.  The number they called and left a message from was 537-942-9579, according to my caller ID. I called the 202-684-6433 and the answered as the Internal Revenue Service with an idiot that barley speaks English. I ask for a badge number and he made on up. I told him the IRS doesn't litigate over the phone and asked for a supervisor. He hung up on me! No surprise here.  

I just received a call on my cell phone which came up restricted. When I checked my voicemail a message was left stating that it was the IRS and that they were filing a lawsuit against me. Then it went on to say that they have been trying to reach me and that this was the final notice, I need to call 202-684-6433 to resolve this issue. I didn't call back and after reading the other post I know it is a scam.

Called leaving this number with recorded msg. "IRS is preparing to file a law suit against you. Call (202) 684-6433 to get more information.

Left message on business phone stating it was the IRS and to return the call.
NOT, pretty sure this was a scam as for one IRS notifies you by certified mail, and for two the business does not owe any back taxes.

They called me and left a message saying they were the IRS " we are in the process of suing you call us back at 202-684-6433"

reporting scam.

I received two messages (with a computer voice) saying that this was the official final notice that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me.  They said to call 202 684-6433 as soon as possible to get more information. When I tried to call back, no one answered and the machine said "The person you're trying to reach is not available. Please leave a message after the beep."

Received a "Final Attempt" warning message recording of a woman who said she was calling on behalf of the IRS, regarding a pending lawsuit against me by the IRS.

The scammers don't seem to know the IRS doesn't sue individuals over debts.  They don't have to, they just take what they want.  You have to sue to get it back.

A grave pre-recorded female voice left me a message that this was IRS and this was the final notice and they are filing a lawsuit against me
