Received same IRS call.  Called back and hung up when answered by a foreign speaking operator.  Called local police dept. and they confirmed it was a scam.  Checked www.irs.gov and on their site it states: "they will never contact you via phone, email or text"  Disregard these calls.

Got the same message.  Called an reported it.

They called me saying they were the IRS threatening to sue me. I laughed at the guy when he identified himself as
Officer John Smith with a thick Indian accent. I said when did you guys start hiring officers and not agents. He became upset and started threatening how the IRS was going to sue me. Then the fun began me toying with him by the time our conversation ended , I do believe I got him thoroughly upset . Don't fall for it people it's a scam.

They called us saying the IRS was suing us and we need to call them back on another number.  It was a message.

My caller ID said Unavailable & the phone number was just 1.  They left a message.  It was a digitized female voice that said they were the IRS & they were filing a lawsuit so I BETTER call them back at 202-684-6433.

I got a call saying it was the IRS, telling me they were filing a lawsuit against me and I had to call this number.

We also had a phone message from 202-684-6433, saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit against us. I assumed it was a scam and did not call back.

They called me and claim to be the IRS and are suing me in an IRS lawsuit. Who are these people? They could do alot of harm if the recipients aren't aware enough to know that the IRS wouldn't do this

Called our business number with a computer generated warning of our impending lawsuit from the Internal Revenue Services Company - It was our final warning.  What a crock!  Do not respond to these types of threatening calls!

Received same prerecorded msg and we're in Oregon.  Small  business line.

blocked phone number ...recording saying I'm being sued by IRS and call 202-684-6433.  sure it's a scam so I'm not calling back .

Call from another number left me a message saying that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me and that this was my final notice.  Left this number to call back.

Got a message that they were from the IRS and was going to file a law suite. Called the number later after blocking my number, a young guy answered, I asked him if he was the IRS, he said yep. Asked him his name and he hung up

Got a message to call back this number 202 684 6433 immediately because I was being sued by the irs. I panicked and called it back then realized they don't call you theyes send mail. The man with a heavy thick accent said my wages would be garnished, my bank accounts frozen, my property seized and my license suspended. All because from 2008 to 2012 there was some tax discrepancys and I owed 1400. He said I could do a payment plan . I asked for how much and he said I will think about it which made me laugh. He said don't worry about anything now and I said I wont scammer and he hung up. This is so sad that people who don't know better can get taken. These jerks need to be stopped.

IRS is trying to sue me from 202-684-6433. It tells me to call back.

202-684-6433 is the number that the robo-caller wanted me to call them back at.  The Caller ID read 286-676-0000 NOT AVAILABLE, but I don't know if that is a real Caller ID or a spoofed one.  The message:

Hello we have been trying to reach you.  This call is official final notice from IRS Internal Revenue Services.  The reason of this call is to let you know that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you.  To get more information please call immediately on our department number 202-684-6433.  I repeat 202-684-6433.  Thank you.

A computer-generated woman's voice said "We have been trying to reach you.  This is from Internal Revenue Services. [sic]  We are about to file a lawsuit against you."  and told me to call (202) 684-6433. Clearly, they are preying on fear of audits and lawsuits.  Pathetic.

I just got a call from an "Out of Area Private Caller."  An automated answering service left a message saying,"Hello we have been trying to reach you.  This call is official final notice from IRS Internal Revenue Services. The reason for this call is to let you know that the IRS is filing a law suit against you.  To get more information please call immediately on our department number 202-684-6433.  (Repeats number then says thank you.)

I went to look up the number on the internet because it sounded like a scam.  Thanks for these posts!  I am late filing my taxes so it put a scare in me at first.  Now I know it's just bogus.  Sorry they put the rest of you through troubles.
