Got the IRS lawsuit call.  A person with a heavy Indian accent IDs himself as IRS officer Stephen Dollar, then starts asking for personal information to verify you are the person they are pursuing legal action against.

Got a call that this was the final notice that the IRS is going to sue me. The IRS does not call. They send you a notice by mail. Report this to the IRS fraud dept.

They called and said the the IRS was suing us and that I should call this number back. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

Caller said that they represented the IRS and that there was a lawsuit against me.  I was to call 202 684 6433 ASAP.  Naturally, I knew it was a fake so I did not call.

Called and said that I owed $3000.00 from back taxes. That they were calling on behalf of the IRS and they were going to have the cops come to my house. My daughter told me that this had to be a scam because the IRS will not get a third party involed about a error on the return. The IRs will contact you for your money.

They left a message saying that the irs was getting ready to sue me!

Got the same computer generated voice saying I was being sued by the IRS.  Caller id phone nbr is 738-414-2927

Got a recorded message that the IRS was going to sue me and I should call 202-264-6433 or the police would come and arrest me.  My accountant appeared at my home within minutes for another matter and told me the IRS only communicates by certified mail.  I wanted to call the number and cuss the person out, but he cautioned me not to return the call and not to "get involved".  Thank God my hometown keeps us advised of ongoing scams, so I knew this was nothing to worry about.

They called and left a message saying that this is the last notice of being in a lawsuit from the IRS internal revenue service.  Total b.s. they called at an inappropriate time and the government wouldn't call you to notify anyway.

I received the same recorded call. I tried calling back to say we were filing bankruptcy, no answer

The IRS should be involved in stopping this kind of messages. I got a called saying that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you and to call for more info. Not the first time this person calls.

This is the number that a robo-call, claiming to be the IRS, provided to call back for more information about the law suit the IRS is filing against me. TOTAL SCAM.

I received a call at 8:30am this morning.  Stated they were the IRS-Internal Revenue Service, that they had been trying to get in touch with me and that this was my "official final notice" that they were filing a lawsuit against me.  You know some folks are going to get scammed by this.  It's a shame and yes, they need to go to jail!

Recorded Message - IRS Collection scam.  This was the number I was supposed to call to "contact the IRS".  Sleazy folks.

This number called and left a message on my answering machine that they were the IRS and they were filling a lawsuit against me and left this number to call back 202-684-6433.  When I called it back the person on the other end could barely speak English.  He said his name was Michael Levin but couldn't give me his employee ID number.  When I asked if it was a scam he hung up on me.

We got the same call today! IRS "suing" us for $3,500 and could we get the money now? Also, asked my husband if he was home and could they come pick him up to take him to jail. LIKE THE COPS ARE GONNA CALL FIRST! It's sad because people will fall for this stuff thinking they are really in trouble! Crazy that this same number is being used and they haven't caught these people yet!
