got a call here in Los Angeles but caller did not leave message on my voicemail. (202) area code is Washington DC. I don't think I have any contacts there. From reading the other posts it seems to be a scammer feeling out potential victims.

I got the same call today and I'm in Mass.  I do know the area code 202 is DC.

I live in Woodland Hills, CA.  Rec'd call today December 23, 2011 @ 9:18AM PST.  There was a pre-recorded message in Spanish.  I only speak a little Spanish and it spoke too fast for me to understand it.  I pressed 1 to speak to a rep and the person who came on also speak very fast and in Spanish.  I told her I don't speak Spanish and asked why they called me and she hung up.  I called the number back and got a recording saying that the number is disconnected.

I live in Port Sain Lucie, Florida.  Just received a call from that number but didn't answer and they left no message.  I'm also grateful we have this post  to look up  suspicious numbers and share experiences.

Called me on my cell phone,  spoke totally in spanish, I called back not a working number.

did not answer, it must be from sprint or a phone prank call... i have my phone# posted in my facebook... i got another phone call from 281-893-0538 (2 hours later).

Well, I can top that. No one left me a message to call back to claim a prize. I called back and it was a DISCONNECTED number! So someone has "spoofed" their phone number. Nice trick.

came up on my cell's ID. I did not get to it after like 5 rings so they hung up. BUT when I went to call back it kicked back with a "this number has been disconnected" message from the phone company - not like they copied it and played it on a machine. It was the real thing. December 23, 2011.

I got a call from this number and another (205 565 0053) today, both are apperantly scams. I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know, mainly because this kind of thing has been happening more and more lately. Something should be done about this.

I got a call and it was fougien languate when I answer , hung up sense I could not understand what the # was being said
