Mark Daniels from MAC
Website says that they are in Florida: https://mediationac.org/
The address is a virtual office, favorite of criminal organizations pretending to be debt collectors.
The BBB gives them an F rating with 118 complaints (BBB removed 58 complaints for some reason) and 19 negative reviews and alerts as of 7/22/22: https://www.bbb.org/us/fl/pembroke-pines/prof ... r-0633-90432086
BBB also lists a residential address for them: 9751 SW 12th St Pembroke Pines, FL 33025-3654 Which is registered to Thu & Tham Nguyen and may be a rental.

The Florida Dept. of State has no registration on file for either a corporation or a fictitious name. This means that they are operating illegally.
The Florida Dept. of Financial Regulation has nothing on record for the business name or the name listed on the BBB as the manager. This means that they are again operating illegally.
It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it. You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified. If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.
First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file complaints with the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

Unwanted Text Messages
Forward unwanted text messages to 7726 so that carriers will block them. Some carriers do not accept that code and if that is the case then contact your carrier about how to block unwanted text messages, however 7726 is accepted in the US, Canada, and Great Britain. Also, never, ever click on a link in a text message as it will probably install something nasty to your phone that you really will not want to deal with and never, ever respond to one because lets them know that they have a good number with someone on the other end. It will result in more calls and texts. - RTGave no other information other then this---Please call and we will recertify the matter. CALLS ONLY, NO TEXT. Have no clue who it is, unless its student loans I blocked them!!
- Carmen San Diego replies to Tisha Perez| 1 replyI responded with "Cease and Desist" and Stop. Your number has been forwarded to the local police department for investigation. I no longer get those text messages. Ha! Don't mess with an officer's wife.

- Trey replies to Tisha PerezSame!!! This is the 3rd text. No company name or anything. Not calling
- Michael VoightI also received a text message, directing me to another number.
The person said they were with MAC. They wanted to talk about a loand from EZCORP
They claimed 2 acts of fraud
1. Made a loan with the intention of not paying it back
2. Fraud for writing a bad check... though it was electronic
The amount was $800 in 2015>
I don't remember any loan with this company in 2015. If I had taken a loan it would have been way before 2015. I don't remember this loan. Additionally, debts over 7 years from the last payment past due can not be on a credit report
In any case, the US Government's Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, under consent ordered to stop collection on any of their payday and installment loans, and also ordered them not to be sold to a third party. So, either MAC is lying or EZCORP violated the order- Caller: MAC (Collection agency)

- Nikki GI received the same message telling me about some loan I took out. I asked what loan? The guy got rude with me and told me I know what loan.
