They all get promptly sent to the TelecoToilet for flushing to the sewer the calling turds crawled out of...

- AnonymousJust got a call from this number on my cell phone. From 203-549-6695, location said "Bridgeport, CT." Answered and it was an automated message regarding a credit card account. Asked to "press 1" for more info or "press 3" to never heard from them again. I pressed 3 . . . . . . But of course, this is probably the fifth or sixth call I've gotten from this same recording in the past. Completely useless.

Lawbreaking telescammers ignore both the Do Not Call list and any request you might make.
Modern technology can also protect you, if YOU do a few simple things!
The most effective thing to do is to get a call blocking device, service or app.
Then, use it correctly.
Google "call blocker" for more information. There are available apps (some free) for smart phones, and services and devices for landlines. Remember, the Do Not Call List is NOT a call blocker!
If you cannot use or afford such a tool, then click on the "Info" button, below, for alternate options:Info• Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service. Telespammers usually hang up after 3 or 4 rings.
• Do NOT return calls from unknown numbers! All that does is verify your phone number, and make it more valuable to more spam groups! And, in some cases, those return calls may cost $20 or more to complete. If the incoming call was important, they would have left a message!
• If you have a "dumb" cell phone, assign the scammer's number to a group named "scam" (or similar). Then, assign a silent ringtone to that group. (This also works for smartphones). The spammer will usually hang up before the phone goes to voicemail.
• Another option, for cell phones: Assign a "silent ringtone" as DEFAULT. Then, assign your favorite ringtones to all known friends / family / business numbers. That way, you will hear rings ONLY from those you wish to contact! You will not hear scammers' rings, even if they change their number! (This is also called "whitelisting", and will cause you to miss calls from non-whitelisted numbers).

- DaveWhen you pick up or call back one of these callers, it indicates that the number is working so they then put you on a 'good leads' list which they then sell to other shady telemarketers who will call. My Do Not Call list doesn't stop them. The government needs to do something to amp up enforcement of these scammers. You can't tell me that it's not a priority when millions of people are scammed out of millions or billions of dollars

- Susan KingI receive this call each week from 203.549.6695 and they don't give the option to stop getting the calls. I held today and a live person answered and I told him I am on the no call list for spam calls like this, he said sorry and hung up. I tried calling back and it wont dial through. I tried putting them on the reject list but it still came through and they leave messages. Its harassing to me and wasting my minutes. I want them stopped. They ask if I owe 2k in credit card debt and try to get you to transfer balances.
