This number called our house 3 times on Sat (b/t 7:25 - 7:30 am) and again, at 7:30 on Sunday.  Woke our kids up both times - on the weekend.

When we pick up, no one is there.  When we call the number, we get a fast busy signal!

My wife also gets calls from these people several times a day. The number belongs to GT Group Telecom Services Corp. I called them at their main line at (204)480-2000.  It is actually Bell. I talked to someone in customer service for voice and data telecommunications services. They said the line is actually rented out to someone else. They were able to take my name and number to have our name taken off a telemarketing list. Hopefully this resolves it. I urge everyone with this problem to call and complain. Hopefully someone will listen and resolve the issue.

I just called the phone number you posted (thanks by the way) and the tool I spoke with said I wasn't on any calling list and that I shouldn't be receiving any calls... and the explanation I got for the nightly calls... here it comes... "I don't know".

I just contacted Bell from the instructions mentioned above and they said they would take care of getting that company to stop bothering us. Hopefully they will.

They call me during school, about three times a day. Just a busy signal when you call back.

Someone called at 530 AM sounded like from a party...I heard people in the background but quickly changed to a busy signal when I tried throughout the day to find out who it was...

Got calls at work and on my work cell. Do Not Call legislation can't come soon enough.

This is actually some local switchboard that re-routes international calls.  I get calls from a friend who is in South Africa right now and it shows up on the call display as a local call from 480-9170.

So the number itself is harmless, however, people calling through it might not be.

I hit *69 and got this number...They call my house endlessly asking if I want a lower interest rate on my card, if so, press 1.  I pressed 1 one time and told the guy to take me off their list.  He said okay...calls haven't stopped.  I pressed 1 again today and asked to talk to the boss, and the guy said okay, and then proceeded to hang up on me.

These people call a lot.  They are now hanging up when I answer.

received a call from this number about 20 minutes ago.  It was a recording about lowering interest rates and to press 1 to speak to someone or press 3 to stop the calls.  I press the 3 so we'll see.  I also set up call blocking on the number so hopefully I wont' get these idiots calling anymore.  I wonder how they would like getting these stupid calls all the time...

I keep getting this number calling me in Winnipeg manitoba. We don't have bell out here... and it comes up as a local number. I know that telephone companys rent out the lesserquality lines to third party companys for long distance calls like those calling cards you can get to call over seas to aftrica inda and stuff anyhow they rent out the crappy quality lines to the third part companys and it is commen for the lines to get messed

a machine saying "congratulations you won... just hit '1' to..."whereby I hung up.

Now I'm getting these calls on my cell phone!

Just rec. a call from them on my landline.  Called me on my cell numerous times today. Comes up as a local number.  Called the 480-2000 number and all I got was " We can't help you "  Piss me off.

I've gotten 5 calls from these people now and the first two times they told me that i won a trip to florida, the first time was kind of funny because i don't often get telemarketer calls on my CELL PHONE!! But she went through my information, and when she got to my marrital status, she said I was listed as married. that's when I hung up on her.
Also the other number that I receive calls from is 912-275-7885 and 912-275-7416, 7887, 7440 same first six numbers. Did a reverse directory on the 7885 number and it is listed to a James Beck Jr.

Just got a call from these people on my cell a moment ago (and I am in Winnipeg so it is a local number here.) "Won a free prize, press 1 <something>" (no other option.) "Please wait while we transfer your call" (bad distorted music). "Hello, this is <didn't hear company name>. Would you like to hear about your free Cancun vacation?" Me: "I would like to be removed from your list permanently!" Them: (click, immediate hang-up, not even a Sorry.)

I immediately filed a complaint with the national do not call registry, as I am registered with it for more than 30 days (the grace period.) It doesn't matter if the call "really" originated outside the country, it was a Canadian number that called me, so if a Canadian company is enabling that, the Canadian company bears the responsibility, as far as I am concerned.
