I got a call from this number to renew a subscription to overdrive magazine.

They've been showing up constantly everyday on my caller id so today I finally answered to tell them to remove me from their list, but no one was on the line.
I am in Vancouver, BC, Canada and have no idea why they call so much. They never leave a message on my machine which is good.

Caller identified themselves as a rep from Overdrive Magazine to which we get a free subscription.  It is a trucking mag and our custom truck has even been featured in it.  We know the editor and will be telling them about this call.  They said they update the info every year and asked for the date of the month I was born to 'verify' they were talking to me...  We have gotten these mags for free since they started and have never ben called to 'verify'

Emailed the Editor at OverDrive and he said it is a ligit call...

It's actually their research department, called AIM. They do research for them, including subscription calls and the like, but they also do outsource research, for other businesses.

Still I didn't like the fact they were asking for personal info...

I FIGURED A WAY TO GET TO THESE SOBS!!! CALL THE NUMBER AND YOU WILL GET A VOICE MAIL:
HIT * 2 times (this will bring up a menu)
HIT # to contact someone. Then Type in a few letters for someones last name.
Complain to the person and request to be removed or just leave messages with different people!!!

THESE A**HOLES HAVE BEEN CALLING ME EVERY DAY FOR MONTHS!!!

Hung up when answered.

also received 3 calls from this number on my cell. Now I will not answer it anymore after reading this message board

They keep calling and just hanging up....never leaves a message.  I try calling the number back and get some strange message.  Left a message with my number and suggested if they call again to leave a message or better yet to stop calling my number.  Gave em my phone number then I hung up.  I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST for my home state and the national and this is becoming very nerve racking.

My husband has been receiving these calls for the past week. I finally looked up Randall Publishing online (http://www.randallreilly.com/contact.shtml), called their corporate number, and spoke with their marketing department. I found out that they publish a trucking related magazine that we subscribe to. The gentleman explained that they use an automated dialing system and that sometimes there is a glitch with some of the phone numbers it calls. The 205-248-1717 number is the number they use to dial out. He took down the phone number it was calling (ours) and said that he will search through the system and straighten it out.

i got this call to i answer no one is there so i just keep calling back and filling up their voice mail

This number calls my CELL phone once every couple of days.  They never leave a message.  I called the number back today and got a recording.  The recording said, "Please leave a message for Inquire ID."  At least it sounded like "Inquire ID."

I am also getting unwanted calls from this number. Is writing these posts going to stop them? We can only hope.

R. Parish called twice a day for a week then i called the people back yelled at them to [***] off. Then called them 5 times and hung up all 5 times to let them know how it feels they havent called back.

Nice to know we were not the only ones.

They called three times in one day, sheish.

These people are calling me 2-3 times a day, not saying anything when I answer and hanging up when the answering mahine answers.  I am on the do not call registry....

Started calling last week to update my information to continue sending a free magazine.  Told her nothing changed and we really don't want the magazine anyhow.  But it's free. I told her to save a tree and take us off the list.  Called again just a few minutes ago and I told her someone just called last week and I hung up.
