They want to give you tickets to the next truck show.  They probably do other promotions also.

Figured out how they got my name.  If you subscribe to one of their "free" publications, they then call you to sign up for a paid subscription.

    Go to www.randallpub.com/index.shtml

You will see a listing of publications they offer.

We do not call anyone and try to sell paid subscriptions.  All of our subscriptions are complimentary.

Randall Rielly is a trade magazine publishing company.  Advertisers pay for the subscription so part of the Randall Rielly company is a call center who calls and verifys address's they received from interested parties at truck shows or from advertisers they've purchased parts/services from.  It doesn't cost anything to the callers, is just annoying.  They simply want to call ONE TIME, once a year to renew the free subscription if you are still in the business and enjoy it.  Problem is they call over and over bc people don't answer or their secretary etc doesn't feel comfortable updating the info on behalf of the subscriber.  The magazines can only go to discission making parties since they are free...the advertisers make sure the subscriptions are only going to people in their industy..hence the call center set up.

Companies that you have done business with in the past such as banks, CC companies and of course credit agencies have the right to call and offer promotions for a certain period of time after your business with them is concluded.

I'm not a subscriber and I have my number on the National Do Not Call Registry - so you shouldn't even attempt to call my number - No you are not complying with federal regulations in regards to telemarketing because my number is in the National Do Not Call Registry and I am not a customer of yours - you are therefore violating the regulations!

This number is a Publishing company for Trade magazines. The one we get is called OVERDRIVE for truck drivers. They called to just update their records with our company and to make sure we want the magazine still. The company is Randall Rielly Publisher.

You called me to update  info. But no one is there and it hangs up.
This is stupid. If you call, talk to me.
So I assumed this is a scam and I asked to take my name off.
But I do want to receive the free subscriptions.
    This is stupid.

I answered a call from this number after reading these posts and it was for renewal of my Employee Benefit News subscription. They call roughly every three months. Their calls have always been professional. I understand the frustration of those individuals who are on a no-call list as soliciters are my pet peeve too (I have the FCC on speed-dial). Just wanted to pass on my experience.

I also forgot to mention that they have never tried to solicit a sale. Again, they have always been very professional. They ask if I want electronic publications in addition to my print copy, I say no, end of question. Never pushy.
