- SallyMore calls from you-know-who. This is a new number so it will get blocked. I don't know about Kathy, but I have no trouble whatsoever blocking the calls. I just add the number to my blocking device.
- Caller: Consumer Svcs.
- LexiI have Panasonic phones and they allow me to block 250 callers. And I can block an entire range of area code numbers, if I want. It was definitely worth buying the new phone system. The scammers just called me with a "new" number. I didn't answer. After getting their number from my caller i.d., I blocked it. Seems like they change the numbers about once a week.

- J M S NEPA replies to Bingo! And the government does not enforce the law. They might as well do away with it. I wonder how much money is spent gathering data that they do nothing with.
- Corinne| 1 replyClaim my credit card company asked them to call me to reduce my interest rate. Wanted my credit card number. I told them if my card company told them to call me, then they should already know my card number. They became rude and slammed down the phone. Have repeatedly called me, even after I talked to them and told them not to waste their time. I told them I knew they were scammers and that I had reported them to the government for criminal activity, but they continue to harass me. I told them I now have caller ID and am reporting their calls to the government every single time. They obviously feel they have nothing to fear from our government, since they still are bothering me. The last time I talked to one of the scammers (Dec 18), a male from the company told me neither I nor anyone else could make them stop calling me. They probably get paid by the number of people they annoy, with a bonus for actually conning someone out of a card number.
My doctor said I should get caller ID because these frequent scam phone calls were causing me a lot of stress and might cause me to have another stroke. I am a disabled, low-income senior who really cannot afford the $10 a month for caller ID - it now means I have to use my credit card to buy part of my monthly groceries. I gave up my TV 3 years ago because I could no longer afford cable, and my area no longer gets free TV over the airwaves. I gave up my car because I could not afford to drive. Yes, I could give up my internet, but it is my only contact with the outside world (other than my phone, which I do not often use because most of my friends and relatives have already died). I know I could get free caller ID on a cellphone, but my hearing is poor so I need a special phone that allows me to greatly increase the volume.
I don't know why our government is not bothering to do something to shut down these scammers. They seem to use the same phone number for at least a month, so it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to track down these villains.- Caller: Consumer SVCS

- GeorgyConsumer Services at it again. SCAMMERS calling from another number.
They would not say a word when I answered. I kept asking them what they wanted.

- Just meWith all these complaints that this 800notes website gets on all the various phone numbers used, isn't there some way that the FCC can get involved and put an end to this garbage. Short of pulling the plug on phone service which some of us must still have. Surely some laws can be passed against them. Look at all the jobs this could create to stop these people from calling folks that do not want their privacy invaded. They probably enjoy reading these posts too!

- Trudythis number calls me from Alabama all the time multiple times a day, I have spoken to several people asked them to remove me and a day later they are calling me again. it is invasive and annoying when you actually speak to a person and they still continue to call me.

- wallyOh praise the Lord! There are no current problems with my credit card. This group of repentant sinners has seen the light and now they are helping spread the word. You will never need worry about your credit being stolen or your bank account being drained if you only trust these folks with a bit of your personal information. As EX-criminals they are willing to share how lying thieves would prey on the elderly or weak. They are even willing to take your most valued possessions and hide them for you. Even your loved ones will never know where they have secured your possessions. Thanks to the Criminal Justice System for their early release .

- Wally replies to CorinneRelax. This is what Government Officials do when we vote them out of office. They have never held and honest job and have no marketable skills. If the Government shut down the Telemarketers, who would hire them in their after-life? If they weren't able to Tele-market, they would be in Ferguson, MO, burning beer stores and swiping TV's.
- TyroneI love my call blocker !!!!
I can push the blacklist button faster than they can change phone numbers - wallyWhat a relief. I just got a call from Bridget. It appears that he was able to escape from the Looney Bin and has returned to making these moronic calls. Good news - The medication seems to be working because He has stopped calling himself Rachel. Now if someone will just hide the phone, maybe we can get some rest.

- DevildogI Received a call from these scumbags and pressed 1 and waited until they came on the line and then I proceeded to tell them that I am retired and have nothing better to do than to waste their time and screw with them and I also have the capability to unplug whenever I want. The lady hung up abruptly. I hope I made her day. By the way I'm sure they will call again but I do not care.

- KathyI am receiving these calls about every two to three days. I tried just hanging up: they still call. I pressed "1" and informed them I did not have over $10,000 in credit card debt. They hung up. The next time I pressed "1" and when the guy asked how much credit card debt I had I told him it was really none of his business. He responded with, "Well then f**k you b*tch." I have responded with "STOP CALLING ME!" They just hang up. They still call, but now (if I have time) I just mess with them. I am keeping track of when they call and reporting it EVERY TIME to the FCC (Federal Communications Commission). You'd think with enough complaints the government would go after them. Ah, well, maybe not...

- GET EVENAll day calls from consumer svc under 3 phone numbers:
205 409-0895, 786 540-0255, and 239 257-8945. Surely some of our complaints are falling on the ears of attorneys. We need to demand that identities, addresses, & locations be released under the "Freedom of Information Act". They are, after all engaging our privacy, by either 1) harassment, sales, or any thing they might call professional. Verizon, FCC, politicians do have the power to end this! Until then, waste consumer svc's time, keep them on the phone, toy with their heads & then tell them to go f__k themselves!!!!- Caller: CONSUMER SVC
