It is a scam.  Illegal too.  Dont want you to lower your bills, they want as much personal information as possible.  Report to the FTC.  If you have the time block your number and call them and let the recording run for an hour.  If everyone does it they might get blocked.  
Also using 206-445-6114.  If you do get through to someone you have already let them know your line is a working number.  Then they attempt to get more from you.  
Dont anwser is best. File a complaint.  This an organized criminal enterprize so where is the government?
Call your congresman, newspapers, media of any kind and keep filing complaints.

I receive calls from 206-445-6112 several times a day.  I don't answer them, but I want the group to stop calling me.  I am on the no-call list.

Thank you Q.  You are 100% correct.  They are changing their phone numbers weekly now.  It really helps to have caller id.......ANYTHING that says Unknown Name, Unknown Caller, Private Caller, etc means to proceed with caution.  Since all my relatives and friends are in either NJ, Pa or CA, I don't have to worry about answering any calls with an out of state area code except for those.  

The one thing I wanted to mention here is that everyone should make sure your older relatives who are a little more inclined to maybe answer when these scammers call and quite possibly go ahead and think the call is legit and give out their personal information by mistake....we should make sure that our parents and grandparents know NOT to talk to the scum that calls them and NOT to give out any information to them.  A polite send it in the mail or No thank you and then hang up is what we need to make sure they know how to do.

I'm not worried about myself, I can smell a rat when it comes calling on my phone.  My kids are real good at not talking to anyone trying to offer or sell them something.  But I worry about my dad and I worry about my grandparents.  They're older, they don't get out as much....they could give these scammers the time of day. I'd hate to see them taken advantage of.

To everyone who is saying they are contently calling. if they are calling your cellphone save the number to something like do not answer than go into your settings and set it to go direct to voice mail.  if they call again from the same number you won't know.

calls from this number several times a day without any message. Probably a machine! How do you stop a machine from annoying  you?

I am in NJ and have Cablevision..you can go on and block the # so they cannot get through...someone needs to do something with these people..it's every hour on the hour all day long...it's more than an annoyance.....can someone cut off this #????

Supposedly, this company "Discount Center" and all their phone numbers are with a phone carrier/telecom provider called Level 3 Communications.  Again, see info in the link above.

It's time to end their existence. Its open season in Seattle Washington- lock and load. Don't waste time with Do Not Call. Hot lead is much more effective.

206-445-6112 (or 206-445-6113) have been calling my home all week, multiple times a day.  I press 3 to be removed from their call list and then they hang up/disconnect immediately. And the calls keep coming.  I'm also on the no-call list.  I'm going to call my phone company and ask to have the numbers blocked or something.  It's harrassment, plain and simple.

I just called Comcast and they told me to dial *82 and then phone number I wish to be blocked.

The automated system prompts you to verify the number calling you and the number you want blocked.

Said it would be effective in 24 to 72 hours ... so hope it works !

Using your phone carrier (Comcast, Verizon, etc. etc.) is helpful only to a point.  

The only real way to get these kinds of calls to stop is to find out the real identity of the spam caller company "Discount Center".  They are untouchable until that happens.  FTC/FCC needs to investigate and smoke these stupidmotherfuckers out.  I'm sure someone at the federal level has the resources and means to do it.  I don't understand how this has gone on for as long as it has.  MULTIPLE FEDERAL regulations are being broken by this company.

Until "Discount Center" is put out of business (or heavily fined and punished enough to stop their unlawful phone marketing practices), they are going to continue spoofing phone numbers and calling you whether or not you are on the Do Not Call List, and whether or not you keep blocking their bogus numbers.  They have an infinite number of phone numbers at their finger tips.  You are going to be blocking a new number every day.

i was having the same problem.  the only way i could stop it was through my land line carrier, which is verizon.  you can either call them, or do it online.  just have to enter the number that you want blocked from calling you.
