Subversive criminal organization.

These pests called my land line today at 11:16 am but were stopped by my blocking service.  I have seen the caller ID "INFORMED ELECTORATE" or similar before, but never with "JOHN" at the beginning.  No idea why that is their caller ID.

Received call from this number. Political survey. When the first question was asked, I responded with the deployment from my can of Attwood Safety Airhorn.   The caller then hung up.

Informed Electorate PAC according to the 'brief' recorded message when I  called back. I answered  one question: Please press '3' to be put on our do not cal list.' 3333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333...................

Phishing. Says they are a political survey company. BS.
BLOCK THEIR ENTIRE AREA CODE!

Same bs here says john inform ele on caller id blocked it and came here to confirm.

Called on 6/22/17 at 6:35PM did not leave a message. Caller ID sai: John Inform Ele

I didn't catch the caller ID info.  I didn’t answer, and the caller did not leave a message.

6/23/17 16:42 PDT  Just now attempted to call me.  Since ID is not one I recognize, nor the number, didn't answer.  No message was left and based on all of the previous notes, this one is now blocked.

Called at 2:59pm today while I was away from home. CID said John Inform elle. Did not leave a message. 1st call from this number. In the last week I have gotten calls from numbers I haven't seen before & not from old numbers I was not home to block. I don't answer unidentified calls or callerst I don't recognise so after blocking or not answering for a while new numbers start calling.

You make a good point on legality of the call.  While surveys are allowed under DNC rules, if they are asking for a donation on the 3rd call from those seem amenable, that is now a request for money.  Of course if they were a charity that, too, would be fine, but it might be splitting hairs to switch hats halfway through a call from survey taker to soliciting  "charitable" donations.  I'll leave that to the great legals minds to decide.
June 15, 2017, 3:22 PM.  Call from 206-487-7420.  Caller ID said, "JOHN INFORM ELE."  No message.

Answered phone by mistake. Checked other sites and found that if you answer, they then call you again and by the 3'rd call they ask for money.  Also, be aware as there is a scam whereby if they get you to say the word "yes" or "approve," they can use your voice electronically to open credit accounts, etc. Just be careful.  I didn't answer their question but asked them several.  It was a combination of robo and live person, mostly just re-starting their recorded pitch.

These folks also have been known to use the following numbers, as documented in other posts on this website: 312-667-9781, 412-226-0147, 469-607-4695, 470-344-6748, 567-218-1081, and finally 720-452-9840. That's a lot of numbers. I have found them all during look-ups of other calls from the same outfit, "Informed Electorate". Look these up here or on Google, and you'll see that they've been tied to Informed Electorate by other folks they (Informed Electorate) have called who have caller ID with name capability.
