Actually it's not anymore. They got bought out by Account Control Technology Holdings, Inc. (ACT Holdings), the parent company of debt management and collection leader Account Control Technology, Inc. (ACT) on May 20, 2014. Here is that URL: http://www.convergentusa.com/corporate/news.php

But no matter, they're still scum and need to be eradicated from the face of the earth. My guess is they are supporters of ISIS and al-Qaeda.

    CONCERNED CITIZEN
I got a call from this number...didn't answer, they left no message...I googled the number and found these threads...I then called the number from my work phone...she said the call was being recorded, I said, "great I'm recording it too"...Her accent was so thick, it was hard to understand...she said that she was in Houston Tx and she said that she was Coulmbian... I urged her to quit whatever pathetic sort of scam she's parcicipating in to consider getting a real job so that she might one day amount to something..

I do not owe Wells Fargo anything and this appears to be a scam. I do not wish to receive anymore calls from them.

This number (206-777-1972) called my work phone, but not my personal phone.  Called and it rang two or three times, then they hung up before it went to voicemail.  They called back immediately and I let the phone ring its six or seven times before going to voicemail.  They left no message.  Unfortunately, I can't block them from my work phone; so if they call back, I'll continue to let it ring.  I've got work to do, which does not include talking to whomever it is that is calling from this number.

Called my work phone with an automated message.  A woman's voice, (clearly computer-generated or a professional voice over artist and not a 'real' representative), claimed to be, "Kelly Smith", but did not identify what organization she was calling from, or what the call was about.  I'm guessing it was a debt collection racket, but not a legitimate one, as they didn't mention debt collection in the message.  The message instructed me to press a certain button if I was me, press another button if I had to go get me, press another button if they had to call back and press yet another button if I wasn't me. ...This was all on my voicemail, as I looked up the number here as it was ringing and didn't answer the call when it came in.

All of these idiots should know there is no law that says we have to answer our calls. No wonder so many people are dumping their land lines. I do not answer any call, land line or cell that I do not recognize.

Some of "these idiots" don't enjoy your luxury of ignoring unfamiliar callers. It's not your place to wander off topic and rebuke fellow users because they don't share your phone habits. Anyway, if not for "all of these idiots" answering devious debt collector calls, others who actually want to confront and solve their problems like big boys and girls would have no history or data to work from.

This company needs to be criminal charged of false calls to non customers to this company those who don’t owe money to them and investigate loan borrowers false personal information is given in applications. This company calls asking for this unknown person doesn’t live here. This borrower may have given false phone to avoid loan payments.

Well, from what your post says there would be no way to bring "criminal charges" against the debt collector if someone purposely gave them wrong information.  Criminal charges are harder to prove.  However you have a very easy solution which was listed on this very page.  All you need to do is read it and use it.
