- Jim replies to Bob| 1 replyWhy do they keep calling after you pay them and the check clears 2 weeks before they are supposed to report it to your credit?
- RazzmaTazz| 1 replySanta Cruz Medical Foundation is a legal thug organization. The doctors order tests and if you don't pay attention they will sneak in other tests without you knowing it. I would get better treatment if I had no insurance and 10 kids. People with insurance cards pay for all the illegals and their families medical care. It's called "Cost Shifting" Now that we paid J&L Teamworks we are going to seek a judge's response through small claims court. We even have a letter stating from the Quality Management head that the doctor did some wrong doing and can't figure out why important documents are missing. "RIP OFF"!!!
- Amused replies to JimI paid my debt in full directly to the original creditor, yet they continue to call me and not leave messages. I've sent requests in writing for all communication to be conducted via written correspondence. They continue to violate that request.
- lamet replies to Jimthat is why you always deal with original creditor. COLLECTION AGENCY's cannot be trusted -you may pay them - but they never update their records.
If hired by the hospital - they probably never paid the hospital either.
If the hospital sold it to them for pennies on the dollar, they will try and continue collection efforts.
Or they do update their records and resell to another agency so they can have a crack at you too. - ex employee LMAO| 5 replieswell well well....j&l huh???hmmm what can i say?or should i say where do i start???well i used to work there about 2 years ago, and it is true that they do collect on medical bills that obvioiusly ended up in collections, the company and staff are crap!unfair, and if youre not favored youre outta there after your 90 days!they find anything for you to get fired, like not meeting quota and its not working out, which is crap because if they know jesse or leanne then youre all good. bull crap j&l!and they dont follow the labor laws, i had missed a few days and they said i had to make it up by staying overtime without overtime pay, so when i got fired i went to the labor board and they investigated it and guess what?i got a check in the mail a weeks later because what they had me do was not legal. get your laws right j and l.

- ex employee LMAO replies to RazzmaTazzim so sorry u had to deal with these idiots, they are so disorganized unprofessional [***]
- former employee :) replies to ex employee LMAOi worked there a couple years back. i can atest for the above poster. if u miss days they make u sign a "contract" that says u will do "make up" time but not get paid OT pay. hahahhahahaa THATS AGAINST THE CALIFORNIA LABOR LAWS!!!!!!!!! IF U WORK THERE, DONT SIGN THAT BULL SH*T WAIVER.
if they can totally sh*t on California Labor Laws and take advantage of their employees then its not too far fetched that they may break the FDCPA. look that up. i suggest everybody read the FDCPA. i used to work at JL and West Asset Management (where most JL employees come from), and i can say that theres always individual collectors that will break the federal collection laws. record your calls always! but make sure you ask them if you can record them (its the law), if they say no, then tell them you wont talk to them and hang up. - fogey| 1 replyReceived a call from JL Services on Fri. 08/21/09 looking for a relative that lived with us 1 year ago. Explained that to the caller, a female who I won't classify as a lady, asking me very direct questions as to where she can get in touch with her at. Related that I can't answer that question as I don't know who this female is. When I asked she said that it was confidential and couldn't say. I then told her that she answered my question. I told HER that she was a creditor. Again, she would not say. She then began being agitated and told me that if I don't give the person in question her name and number that the person would be very upset. She became more upset when I told her I don't divulge anyone's number to someone I don't know. Today, sun., 08/23/09, I received a call from my relative. She related that a female from JL Services called her work (illegal) and asked for her. Her job told JL that there was nobody there by that name. Smart! Later, she received a call from the same female at her home. This female was very abusive and demanded her husbands work location, phone number and his cell phone number. She ended up being highly upset with this female and hung up on her. My relative is pregnant and was highly upset and stressed by this female from JL Services. We are planning to notify the Ca. State Attorney General's Office and file a complaint against this company for harassment and anything else that may apply.

- danielle replies to Ashleythe only way is to call them if your have their # and to ask them to stop calling. and ask for their address to send in writing to tell them to stop calling. It depends on the state you live in. its under the FDCPA law
- Jane Doe| 1 replyIf you people would all pay your bill son time them maybe you won't ever have a collection agency call!
(From a person whose priorities are in order) - mite work there replies to ex employee LMAO| 1 replywhy did you leave j & l. I recently applied there and looks like i mite get the job. should i be hesitate?

- me replies to geoffCalifornia is a community property state. Any necessary debt (such as medical debt) that accrues during a marriage is the legal responsibility of the spouse!
- me replies to JimMaybe you had a new bill come in to there office. Or maybe there was an adjustment from the hospital that hired J & L and you over paid... Maybe you should have answered the call to find out!
- Anon replies to Jane DoeSo you gave into the harassment because you're afraid to stand up for your rights?
I seeeeeeee - Harassed Girl replies to fogeyThey've been calling me at my work for the past few months and I've answered about two times and asked for them to send me something in the mail and I receive the answer of no. I went to pay the hospital the money, but they wouldn't even accept it. So when JL called again, I asked for a slip in the mail and they told me that they were going to put my status as "refused to pay" and I told them that I never refused to pay anything and that I wanted to pay my bills. The guy said that he wasn't going to send anything and make my credit bad by putting refused to pay. I then proceeded to tell him that he couldn't give false information out about me or any information for that matter. He started to get very aggressive and told me that he could do whatever he wanted to do with my account and screw everything up.He started to raise his voice to the point as if he was practically yelling at me. I by that time had enough of the drama and hung up on him.I was very embarrassed. I AM GOING TO FILE MAJOR COMPLAINTS
- OOPS replies to TrishIts a collection company go on line - google the company name and you will see their info
- KM replies to ex employee LMAO| 1 replyWe are now embroiled with J&L over a bill which we are disputing because it is exorbitant. I'm wondering, since you worked for them, do employees get some payback or reward if they get someone to pay the bill in full TODAY. The person we were dealing with was very aggressive about getting paid in full TODAY. Do employees get paid fairly? What's going on there? Thanks!!!
- LaLaJL Teamworks is a healthcare collection.. if you owe money to their client (hospital or healthcare business) they turn to JL to collect from you... duh common sense people. ive been through them and they are not as bad ass you think they are.. all you got to do is communicate, just because economy is bad does not mean people are out for your money.. either pay your bill or dont go see a doctor! if you need your number to be taken off, you just call and tell them..
- Haterudepeople replies to Louis| 2 repliesMaybe you should mind your own business. If you weren't looking up this number too you wouldn't be here. Unless you work for them maybe??????
