Do not give this person any info, they always call saying they will give a reduction for your electric bill and all they want is your information they are scammers

Called but left no message.  Thanks to everyone here who has reported this number, I know it's a scam (as if I couldn't guess).  BLOCKED this number!

Seems like half of North America is getting calls from this number. I'm in the 516 are code and get at least one call per day from this #.
I finally got a call blocker from CPR, the V5000. In two weeks I have blocked 20 different #'s from these scammers.
Landlines with Verizon can only block 3 numbers (so they tell me). And Cell users with Verizon can only block 5 (I think) #'s you can put in manually. And they only stay blocked for 3 months.

Okay.....I'm not sure how this turned into a fight about cell phone usage in Canada and the attendant name-calling; but - back to this number - it is, simply and only, a scam using the need for you to share information about your computer as the ploy.  Don't answer it, UNLESS, you want the fun of responding the way a guy on another site did.  He stated that they asked him to use the CMD prompt, enter a command, and asked him what it said.  He stated there were letters.  They asked what the letters were.  He stated "(F)rank (U)nion etc., etc., (Y)ellow (O)range (U)pton"   I'm sure you get the picture.  There was a lengthy silence.  They called him a name and hung up on him.

Got a call, line quality was poor and caller spoke heavily accented English. Caller said he was from the "Microsoft Service Center" and said that my Windows computer was reporting "lots and lots of errors" which meant that "hackers were trying to do bad things" and that he could help. I told him not to call again and that I would report him to the FBI.  He laughed and said, "Oh, I'll call again."  Clearly not Microsoft.

I got a Texas # San Antonio I asked him where he was he said Delaware. Heavy accent and told me I had a virus in my computer and I needed to check things out he was going to tell me how. He said that he worked for Microsoft. I also asked him who I was and how he got my info he gave me an incorrect name then tried to get mine.

These are just scamers trying to get your Pers information. They do not care about it being illegal to call because they are illegal. Verizon will do nothing just block the number.

Caller states they are from Verizon and is offering me a discount on my service as long as I provide them with my date of birth etc.
This is a SCAM !!!!! The telephone number is a scam number using it in various ways to lie, cheat and steal from honest innocent citizens.
DO NOT provide them with any info other than telling them where they should go.

This number and several others have been calling saying same thing. That I owe money and that I am going to jail if I do not pay. These calls are coming at least 6  times a day. I try calling back and no one will answer and some of the numbers have been disconnected. Please verify all these numbers on google because all but this one I posted today has come up on a scam report.

Got a call from this number about my computer had a virus.............etc.  I asked for their location and they hung up

I received a call from this number and the man, with an accent, told me that he was from Microsoft and that I had some sort of problem.  I actually couldn't listen because I was trying not to laugh.
He told me that he would fix my errors and gave me some instructions.  I realized he was trying to get permission to remote to my computer and then have control over it.  I kept jacking him around and he finally told me there was a problem.  I then told him I have a Commodore 64 and that didn't phase him at all.  I guess that is such an old computer the young idiots don't even know it.  I think I bought one in 1981.
Finally I told him my daughter was here and she would handle it.  I threw the phone on the bed and went in and took a shower, when I got back, the line was dead.  How dare he hang up on me!  Blocked the number and had a good laugh.

can't believe I answered it, but I was filing a warranty claim and I thought maybe it was a related call back. The idiot on the other end wasn't Spanish and not sure what language he was using. I told him to go f/h and hung up. I have since blocked that number!

We got several scam calls during supper.  The one from this number was either a voice-adaptive bot call about a Medicare back brace scam or the recorded "This is Microsoft...your Windows license has expired and all services are stopped... cal this number to..."

This is just another scam to try to access your PC and find any personal or financial information possible.  Do NOT fall for it.  This outfit uses spoofed callerid numbers that change from time to time, so reporting them to the government will do no good at all.  Blocking their number will work only for a while, until they start using a different spoofed number.  The best strategy to adopt is to NEVER answer a call that either displays no caller ID information or is from a number that you do not recognize.  Otherwise, you could be asking for real problems.
