It belongs to Talbot Adams & Moore. They are a debt collector. They were calling for someone named daniel xxxxxx i told them wrong number and they said they would remove us from the list but still get calls , harrassment! well, i could just give them daniel's info, who i am related to, but i;m not gonna do that cause this company's callers are such [***]!!!

what a low opinion one must have of ones profession that they feel compelled to reply to each negative thing said about their " industry" on an obscure website.
collection agencies are one of the lowest forms of life but they do provide a service of sorts, much like a cockroach or any number of bottom feeding lower life forms. someone has to eat the crap that eats the crap i suppose.
please dont try the line of reasoning that suggests a noble profession though, as collection agencies sell KNOWN worthless accounts to other collectors, i.e.- an account is proven 'identity theft' by one company which then sells it to another unsuspecting collection agency lower on the food chain.nice, huh?
an old saying is " honor among thieves' but apparently this is a professional courtesy not accorded between collections agencies.
as to the 'collector' who told someone to 'get a job': physician heal thyself...if you find yourself resorting to attempting to ambush some debtor during supper and you call THAT a 'job' you surely have wasted your life. poor you....

Actually, if you don't answer, they will keep calling, But- you do have options.  They can't call B4 8am, or after 9pm for any time zone.  If you tell them NOT to call your number, according to FCC rules, they can't call for at least 4 weeks, and if you tell them that the number they are calling on is a business or cell phone, (they can cause you to get charges) and you have to tell them NOT to call this number again, they have to remove it, and can not call, again - FCC rules!!!  If you answer, they know that the number is valid and will bug the living sh** out of you, but now you have at least two options!!! Good Luck!!!

Found out they are TAM at 4538 Centerview Drive, Suite 250, San Antonio, TX 78229.  Person I talked to was Joe Lopez.  Would not give other information on company other than they are registered in the State of Texas.  They are going after people I don't know but have a similar name than mine.  Very cocky callers.

I keep getting a call from this company.  Same girl, same broken english.  Sounds like she's from India or something.  Very rude to me when I ask her why she is calling.  She gets all huffy w me and asks why and I tell her "hey you're the one calling me, I have every right to ask what this is about."  She keeps asking for a person I don't even know.  I told her to stop calling me and she was very rude.  Sounds very bizarre but I dont know who these people are and why they are calling me.  Bunch of freaks working there!! Get a real job!!

People calling are the most incredibly rude a55h0le5 I have ever encountered. One guy called at 8pm and I told him now was not a good time to talk. He asked "Why not?" I told him I was putting my kids to bed, not that it is any of his business. He then huffed and clicked his tongue and then said "Well you answered the phone.". I told him he was rue and hung up on him. I called back today and spoke to a female. She was very helpful at first. But then my kids started acting up, so i told her I would call her back in an hour bc my kids were getting loud. And she said "what. you can't control your kids?". I was astonished that she would say that. Then she said "It would take all of 2 seconds to grab your checkbook". I told her I really had to go and I would call back. Then she put me on hold. So I hung up. She called right back and I didn't answer. WTF?!?! I effin told them I couldn't talk. And all the callers do is harass and be rude.

but you guys do have a debt, so why are you bitching? *if some have no outstanding debt, ignore this

I keep getting calls from this number, the person that they are asking for doesn't live with me, and i'm sick of them calling. I have a unlisted home number, and how they got that number i have no ideal, and they called my cellphone today 2-12-09 i told them to take a numbers off of the list.

Because you wanna be debt collector are a scammer calling people on their cell phones when your told not to.  I think the texas B.A.R. assosciation should get an anonymous call on how your company is pretending to be an attorney's office.

i have been getting calls from a woman either w/a jamaican accent, leaves me messages, this is jane, this is amy, this is.. and 'they' all have the same voice/accent. i am going to go to their office today bc i dont trust the people on the phone.

Heatherrenee, seriously--it's a message board, on the internet. Do you believe everything that you read on the internet? Also, I did a BBB check on the company, and found that there are more unresolved complaints and FDCPA complaints on this company than with any company I have previously dealt.

Suffice it to say--they aren't getting the $26 from me that my ex-husband, now remarried, owes. Suck it, Trebek.

Honestly, Mr. Talbot--if you were an educated man, as you claim to be, you would be able to spell "actually," not to mention the fact that your company is in violation of the FDCPA every time they disclose my ex's financial records to me. We're divorced, he's remarried. Hire a new skip tracer.

Or to actually mail in the amount you owed the previous company which turned it over to them- by the way they paid off your debt to the original company you owed, which is why they are now hounding you- they need to recollect the money they spent on your debt. That's how it works FYI

Talbot Adams & Moore alright, they're a scam!!! They first called me saying they were collecting on a debt I owe them because of an overdue bank account at IBC from 2007. They said they'd lower the payment if I sent it immediately plus they said it wouldn't be on my credit report anymore.

I told the guy I checked my credit report recently and there was no debt...he just stuttered and said oh well, if you pay us now blah blah blah. Then I said yes but I have an account at that same bank now and they have never told me that I owe them money from a past bank account (because I dont) and said I was going to call the bank and check. Then he stuttered "oh..well..they wouldn't have that information anymore." Just don't agree verbally to pay them anything, especially if you don't owe! They'll stop calling if you ignore them then try again a few months later but under trickier tactics.

They are a collection agency.  They got your name, ss #, address, balance, and checking account # from their client, they didnt pull it out of the air.  In the case it sounds like the bank is the one scamming you.  More likely your bank keeps crappy records and one department doesn't know what the other is doing.  As far as your credit report there are 3 credit bureaus and it could have been reported to one or two, not necessarily all three.  That being said, TAM are a bunch of jerks and deserve to be put out of business, just not by a [***] like you.
