- Ron| 3 repliesGot a call from this number. Caller ID said San Antonio Tx. They left message, guy was actually yelling into the phone, Said he was Officer Barry Foster and this message is extremely time sensitive, and if I don't call back bad things will unfold upon me.
Needless to say I haven't returned the call but would like to know what you folks think of this. - Dave| 2 repliesAn Officer Barry or Harry something - could barely make out his name due to the connection - called and left a voice mail stating that this was a " time sensitive " message and if we or our lawyer didn't respond or call back "good luck to us"! This is so annoying and disturbing. First of all we pay extra for having an unlisted number and we still receive unsolicited phone calls!
- dreuws replies to Dave| 1 replyI got the same call. First I called back blocking my number and no answer. Then called again and when they answered they said IRS. Scam for sure
- Doug| 2 repliesSomeone called from this number and was very threatening. Similar to the above post, he said something about the firm he works for will (unintelligable) and if I don't return the call terrible things would happen and 'good luck'. The message did not reference anyone in particular or a creditor or an account number. This was very unnerving to get this message and I wonder if I should return the call to find out WTF it is all about, but then again.... What is with these jack-[***] that they wont give you any information about the purpose of the call? My number is published on the internet and I get literally dozens of calls a week from J-A's who cannot even leave a message. If they cannot leave a message, it must not be important? That sucks enough, but this anonymous vague threatening business is even worse. I hope this guy chokes on his ham-sandwich and no one knows CPR!
- Caller: unknown from Texas
- MikeGot the same message return my call or bad things will happen. WTF
- JDAnswer the call and an automated recorded voice say a very important message from the IRS was to follow, needless to say I hung up. It is obviously a scam!
- Caller: ?
- JKeeps calling me too. F that guy.
- Justme(210) 888-8377 Same thing. I told him off when he used to call me with his old, now disconnected number. I think they hack through cell phone apps.
- Caller: IRS FRAUD
- SLDI just got a second call from this "Officer Barry Foster". First time was a couple months ago and I returned the call but no answer. His verbage is the same as all the above descriptions I read. After getting this second call today, I know it is a scam. Not sure if there's anything we can do about it but I will continue to ignore and not answer if it happens again.
- Caller: Officer Barry Foster
- WT| 1 replyGot the same call,,,said he was officer Ricardo from IRS,,,,,i called back,,,,,he then told me phone call would be recorded and did i have an attorney represent me. Then he told me i was in violation of tax fraud and owed money to the IRS. Pay it now or a warrant would be issued for my arrest immediately.
- delaware callerHello,
I just got the same call, and like another post, I blocked the return call and no one answered. Then I called back from the number they called to. The exact same thing happened to me. He said the same thing to me, and when I asked why would the IRS be calling me? He wanted my financial information. I used to work for Adult Protective Services for the State of Delaware, and I asked him point blank, "I know this is not the IRS, if you owe the IRS they contact via the mail, and have all my information." I then told him I will be contacting the Attorney's General's consumer fraud division. Our attorney general is the son of the Vice President. Hopefully these folks will be prosecuted...Such a shame preying on the innocent like that.- Caller: IRS, Agent Barry ?
- vicrusI have gotten 5 calls in the last 2 days from this [***]. I finally just blocked him from my phone. He certainly is persistent.
- ArtieFile a complaint with the Texas Attorney General and the FBI like I did.You can do it on their websites.
Total scam and I hope he goes to jail.- Caller: IRS - Eric Forter ...NOT!
- Call type: Debt collector
- TrishaThey have called my husband's phone twice and left messages saying they are the IRS, blah,blah,blah...the funny thing is they are asking for an angelo or Angela, can't understand the thick accent. My husband name is Benjamin. What fun!
- ed replies to DougNext time he calls me I'm going to have a good friend of mine stop by and chokevthe snotvout of him with the phone cord.
- April replies to dreuwsI got the same call other than that they called my daughters number and THREATENED her... I called it back and asked what the heck was going on? That's when they told me they where IRS I will be honest I freaked out and gave my phone to my boss and they hung up on him when he asked for their badge number. I called them back after I spoke with the police and told them that the number is recorded and not to contact me again and that's when they called from another number. 9368564039...
- Rediculous!!.....And I thought the guys from India posing as Microsoft needing/wanting to gain access to my computer was bad enough, but this guy's message takes the cake! Not to mention it is quite disturbing.
He says his name is Barry Foster and "this message is time sensitive". He says something else too but I can't quite make it out...Maybe something about IRS (?)
It is strong accent (sounds scottish or ?....Even sounds a bit like it is computer generated voice) with a threatening message to return the call with my attorney by my side.....He said if I choose to ignore this, well then he "wishes me luck" as if something bad is going to happen to me....and he cannot be held responsible for it.
Now, I know it is a scam so I just shake it off...............but my 91 y/o MIL living in assisted living who received the same call last week got so upset with his threatening message that she had to have medical attention.
- Scary!Ok, feel relieved to see I'm not alone, same as above - IRS - attorney - call me immediately or bad things will happen....
Good lord the lunatics are out!- Caller: 210 888 8377
- Very Protective DaughterMy Mother received a call from this # and the guy stated he was with the IRS. Since she couldn't understand him, she hung up. When I called back "Investigator" David (didn't get last name) ID#171671 stated the IRS has solid evidence that my Mother is involved in a fraud case and that a warrant has been issued for her arrest. He then asked for the attorney information who would be representing her on this case. I told him I knew for a fact my Mother is not involved in any fraud case and I wasn't interested in any scam he is running. He then stated the police are on their way right now to arrest my Mother. I screamed at him on the phone and told him there is no way the police are coming to arrest my 77 yr old Mother. Stupid Jerk hung-up! ROFL What a SCAM!!!!
- Caller: IRS FRAUD
- Scrotie McBoogerballs replies to DougThis dip-[***] left a voicemail threatening me if I did not respond to his message. I could barely understand his horrible accent, he sounded like some sand pounding middle-eastern [***]. I cannot take a call like this seriously. I called back immediately about 20 times and could not get through, the connection was terminated every time. Cannot be that important then, right!? Lol. The number was 210-888-8377. The caller id came up exactly as this: TX, USA.
I cannot WAIT for one of these fools to call me back soon, I shall pretend to be the owner of a Chinese restaurant with a really thick accent. I will ask him/her what they want to order, then I will push the fried rice special until they become impatient. Then I will ask for an address to mail the food to; however, I shall require an address and social security number to verify it's not a fake order call. Shall I send them the ISIS special? BOOM!!!
