I got a call at 10:40 last night. The only reason I answered it was because my Mother In Law is in the hospital, and I was worried something bad had happened- my caller ID said Unavailable for the name.  So when it was the Indian Man talking about Windows, I lost it. I yelled at him for calling at that time of night, it is illegal and to stop calling. Then I said I don't have a computer and he hung up on me. I was so pissed.

This number has called repeatedly so I answered and they said they were calling about a warranty issue with a computer. When I asked who they were calling for they just repeated the same information. But they could not give me a name of who they were calling. My mother doesn't own a computer or know how to do any more than play card games. I repair computers as a hobby and have never called regarding a warranty issue or taken out a warranty. Also, I use my cell number for all purcahses and they were calling a landline.

same call, knew my name, mentioned something was wrong with my PC, i told her i didnt own a PC, she said goodbye. I hate this!

Got a call at 10:08PM!! Caller ID says Marsh McClennon. I did not answer and no message was left. Glad I was still up so it didn't scare me.

Got several calls on a land line from "Windows Alert" asking if I was the owner of a Windows computer.  They had received a "frozen file alert" that could potentially freeze and crash all Windows PCs connected by a router.  Had not registered that phone number with any service, so hung up.  Caller ID said "March Mclennan".

Same thing. Caller id marsh McLennan. Indian accented dude saying he is getting all these alerts from my computer.  At 1020 PM! [***]!
I laughed in his face and hung up.

It's a call center in India posing as Windows tech support.  They claim that they've detected a problem with your computer and try to get you to let them gain access to it so they can "fix" it.  There seem to be 3 or 4 of these outfits.  I block one number and don't hear from them for a while but they sell your number to the next guy and start all over again.

Got a call from this # and they said my computer had a vires and they can help. That is what my husband does for  a living he is in the IT field. He said they us that to get your info like you SSN so do not give them any info not even your name!!

I received a call at 6:45 am this morning (2.6.15) from Marsh Mclennan, 212.345.6789. Some person with a very strong accent (sounded Like he was from India) asked if I own the PC In the house because there is a very bad virus . . .and before he could say anything else, I hung up.  If you see this name and number on your telephone, don't answer. My PC is fine.

Caller with heavy accent claiming 'urgent' problem with computer, Windows connection, etc. Same basics as other recent reports.
I stopped him after the first sentence and told him I knew it was a scam, but he loudly and aggressively talked over me, launching back into the 'urgent problem' claim. I said, 'No. This is a scam. And this call is absolute bulls**t.' He STILL tried to continue his bit...I hung up on him.

Today, at 6:44 this morning, I received a call from Marsh McLennon 212-345-6789. I was still in bed and jumped up to answer, thinking it was a family emergency. I looked at the caller ID and did not recognize the number and let it go to the answering machine. They left no message. Now, as I see these posts, I remember getting a call from someone, last year, telling me about a computer fix-up. The man was shouting at me over the phone. Really...enough to really scare me. He said, "Quick go to your computer, you have a virus!" I'm glad I still have my head on straight to decipher what might be a spoof call. This needs to be stopped! I really feel for anyone who doesn't try to check up on these idiots who use the phone to fool people into doing something detrimental to themselves.

Scam. Showing as [No Name] on a Verizon cell phone. Four calls in the last two days including other spoofed originating numbers. All the calls are at just after 3PM. Clearly trying to catch post school people. Except they are calling my office which makes it very hard to block rotating spoof numbers.

Received the same call at 7AM this morning with the name Marsh Mclennan as the caller. I did not answer and they did not leave a message.

First time to receive a call from this number. Called on house phone Caller ID said Marsh, Mclennan. Don't know such a person and since I didn't recognize the number or the caller did not answer it. Did not leave message as phone is set to greeting only.

2123456789 called me last night at 11:35 pm. I called the number back and a recording told me the scammers are using this number and to report them, and believe me I will!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Hey you dirt bag scammers if you are going to do you scamming at least at call at a decent hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  SCUMBAGS
