I got a call from this number today; same as everyone else - wanted me to turn on my personal computer so he could evaluate for spyware. Told him I was not that stupid and to take me off his DNC list.
Again, thought it was someone from India.  Told him I was going to report the number. Called back and was told I receive a call from "ABC Company" and it was an unassigned number.  Scam

They are still at it. Same type of call. I hung on awhile, trying to get someone else from their business to talk to me that I could understand their English better and clearer, but they would not comply. I finally hung up on them.  They called right back and I did not answer.  I looked up phone number in reverse phone number and found all of these helpful reports from all of you!  Thanks, I know what to expect if they call back!  Got some great pointers from you all!  Thanks

I have gotten a prank phone call from this number and I too did the reverse number look up and found it to be registered as Trask Industries in New York, However on number investigator.com this same number was registered to a Sharjil Zaman.  Not sure if this is the "heavily accented" man that is bothering everyone, but in any case, just sharing.  So when he calls and says his name is Mike you can say....come on now Sharjil....I know who you are, your phone number and where you live!

Same message everyone else is getting........malware on my computer pinging his computer.  This is the second time we've had this call.  The first time I reported it to "do not call".  Tonight we received a call again, but did not answer it.  It is a scam attempting to gain access to my computer posturing as a "free service".
The first time we received the call, the caller was rude, obnoxious and insisting on having access to my computer from remote to remove the malware he claims is pinging his server.  He was happy to argue and insist...finally I hung up on him.  Thick East Indian accent............like others claim.

These people called me several times. Same Indian accent as above. He called back three times in a row. Told me my computer is infected with malware and they could fix it over the phone. They wanted me to give them access to my computer. When I asked who he was and who he was connected with, he said Microsoft. He said I had a Microsoft machine (which I don't). I told him I want his identification and will report him.

Y'know, this is very malicious and could really hurt someone more gullible. Who DO we report this to? I mean, we have the phone number....

This is a call telling you that you have downloaded a malware from your computer.  They tell you to download their program.  If you do this it will put the malware onto the computer and they will have control of all your information on your computer.  When I let them go through their speil and then told them that I was a computer technician they immediately hung up.  PLEASE DO NOT DO ANYTHING THEY SAY.  IT"S A LIE AND THEY ARE TRYING TO GET HOLD OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION SAVED ON YOUR COMPUTER.

Just got a call from this number, heavy Indian accent, shows to be NYC, but really doubt it today since Hurricane Sandy knocked out most power and all there last night.  Caller said he was calling about maintenance to my home computer.....really.  Reported to the NDC list

Man started screaming at me & insisting I turn on my computer to give him access to fix errors he was receiving at his computer windows company.  Very thick "indian" accent.  I refused & he yelled louder that I must do this.  I asked for his number & he gave me some fake number.  I have caller ID & looked at it & the number 212-456-7890 appeared.

I have received several calls from this number in the last 2 days.  Always no one on the other end.

Same as everyone else here it seems.  Got the computer ping warning from him, and now this number is STILL calling me 2-3 times a day!  Seems he meant it when he told the other reporter here that he'd call EVERY DAY.  What the heck?!  Doesn't appear that reporting the calls is doing a bit of good, so I warn anyone not to answer.

Some foreigner calling telling my my computer is infected  (of course it wasn't) so I told this bozo to fux off! My anti-virus is Comodo Pro Internet Security and has a near 100% block rate on malware.

Recieved several annoying calls from this number even after I told them to take me off there list. THEY NEVER DID!  They kept saying a computer in my house had mal ware.  They became nasty when I wouldnt log on like they told me.  Then I asked to speak tothere superivor which they never gave me.  Most of the calls came from a male who sound like he was from India and spoke broken english.  I couldn't even understand what company he said he was with.  I use to work with a LARGE phone company and know that they outsource work to India.  I have the feeling it was a scam!  

A few days later got a call from an India women and she was just as nasty.  She wouldn't put a superviors on the phone either so I ripped her a new one and she hung up.  I'm waiting for them to call back again because for me its now become a game of how frustrated I can make them.  

However I would like to report them to someone.

Indian Call center Ameyo is making the calls out stating that my home computer is sending them an error message. I do not have a home computer, just a work laptop. I wanted to keep going as it was entertaining to keep questioning him. After a round of basic questions, he asked, "Sir, do you know this is a scam?" I said, "Yes, of course I know." He said, "Please, hang up sir" I said, "Right after I finishing tracing this call." He immediately hung up.....

This number is also linked to 347-352-0133. It's also used with a know human traficking network. Beware. Dont provide them a call back number. They call later and ask details about your family and work habits.

No, they wanted to access your computer to get rid of viruses.  They claimed to be with Windows and my computer was supposedly sending them messages that it had been infected with viruses.  WOW!

Which is a scam, by the way.

Very accented guy from INDIA called told them I had a virus and malware on my machine, I told them bullsh*t! I work for the NSA (which I don't) and he tried to explain if I formatted the HDD then it would have the problem still. He told me to go to the event viewer which I did and yes the only errors there were of some my services were disabled (which I did). He wanted to connect to my PC with TEAM VIEWER. I told him no, he told me that my computer would not survive and I should connect to his Team Viewer session. I went and got my airhorn and blew it at him, he hung up..... It was a real scam I know about computers and when you try and tell me that I don't know what I am doing THEN YOU ARE WRONG
